    Unpopular opinion time…

Filet sucks. I’ll take a ribeye or strip over filet any day of the week. I’ve tried every method and I just don’t see the allure of filet. I know some people love them, and I’ve had what others described as “the best filet they’ve every had”. I’ve never been that impressed.
I won't go so far as to say that filet "sucks". I prefer other cuts, in particular ribeye and hanger. Filet is insanely tender, but has very little inherent flavor; it needs to be well-seasoned or prepared with a sauce.

Cause it can't be brisket, ribeyes, pork butts, and ribs everyday. Omaha steaks hot dogs are the best hot dogs.

Didn't really want to start a new thread, so I'll just post here.

We are having our first annual Frosty Balls Backyard BBQ Contest at the St. Anthony Conservation Club on January 28th this year. Teams will be making chili, chicken, ribs, and a mystery meat. $25 per team to enter and all the teams will be making food to sample so even if you aren't a competitor you can pay $5 to sample them all. My team will be there, so if anyone wants to talk guns or bbq just check out Team 30 Pack.

I have a Green Mountain Grill, and my bbq team has 3 of them. We have never had any issues with them. The Green Mountain pellets are made about 5 minutes from my house in St. Anthony.
