I would love to see some laws to nullify elements of the NFA this year. After Bruen and with Texas' ongoing case for their "Made in Texas" law, I feel confident kicking another leg out from under them. Get more laws in at the state that contradict the fed and tie up more of their assets. They throw spaghetti at the wall, why shouldn't we?

Fellow 2A supporters (and lurking antis, we see you!) The committee schedules are not up yet but the committee dates are on the session schedule. All of the dates below are Wednesdays (the usual committee hearing day.) The committee hearings are where public comments on bills take place.

There are hundreds of bills every year from both the Senate and the House. All bills that get a first reading are assigned to a committee. MAYBE... 25% get a hearing in committee. After the discussion and public comments the Committee Chair (usually) calls for a committee vote. If it passes the committee it then goes to the floor (House or Senate) for amendments (2nd reading) and a vote (3rd reading.)

Passes one side? Now it goes to the other side, lather/rinse/repeat.

When a bill is assigned to a committee is when we can start emailing/calling/mailing/etc the committee members to encourage support/opposition.

    House:
    (Maybe 11 January)
    18-Jan-15 February
    8 March -5 April

    Senate:
    18 Jan-22 Feb
    8 March-12 April

Indiana Government Center parking garages should not be "gun free" zones.

    25 IAC 7-2-1 Definitions
Sec. 1. The following definitions apply throughout this article:
    (4) "Indiana government center campus" means the following:
    (A) The state capitol building.
    (B) The Indiana government center-north.
    (C) The Indiana government center-south.
    (D) The state library.
    (E) The Washington Street garage.
    (F) The Senate Avenue garage.
    (G) The Indiana historical society building and parking lot.
    (H) The land adjacent to these buildings that is owned and controlled by the state.
    20181010-IR-025180329RFA)

E through H should be eliminated, at the minimum. (Acutually they should all go, but I know the "rules for thee but not me" crowd in the Legislature would never go for that)
    Actually A through H

    All IAC 2A infringements

Deadline for bills is this Friday. Hopefully see something soon. Takes a while to go through all these things...
