If you are talking about the grips, those look like Hogue rubber grips. I am running those on my TRP and love them personally. They are not the in vogue style at the moment, but they grip!

cant seem to get a good pic, sorry. its a .22 but im in love. my first 1911 and its making me want to sell my other handguns and buy a 9 and a .45!

I had a few hiccups but I was more accurate than I've ever been with any other handgun. Planning to get some ivory grips and a skeletonized trigger next. :-)

I love Colt 1911's. Great looking pistol you have there sir. A few weeks ago I picked up a series 70, and of course I had to have a new series 80 to go along with it. These things can pile up quickly if one is not careful!

Check out the Rock Island line of 1911s.... Inexpensive and great starter 1911

And the ATI (American Tactical Imports)... I've had better luck with my ATI than my Rock Island (so far). Also, I've heard a lot of decent feedback on the Regents... same price range, Turkish made, respectably suitable finish... etc.
