The light-for-caliber concept [kills thru speed!] gets trotted out every few years.

History shows you’re likely better off with a traditional weight projectile.

The 9mm version of this stuff has been demonstrated to punch through level 3A soft body armor.

Tim from Military Arms Channel on YouTube demonstrated this:

I'm a fan of the 10mm in general.
    Good large frame handgun round,
And I think it would be a good sub gun round.

Excellent for 1911 frames, has more energy at 75 yards than .45 ACP has at the muzzle.

I'm just a metal plate ringer, you all will have to debate metal hitting meat.

I agree with you, but don't forget the entire section on 10mm revolvers. If you like the ballistics out of a 5" 1911, check out a 6" or 6.5" Smith Model 610, GP-100 or Uberti Cattleman. I routinely knock down my metal swingers at 20 yards with mine.

As for the sub-gun market, it's been tried and didn't fair too well. Fast, repeated shock like that against a bolt face caused lots of equipment failures. I'm looking at you HK.
