Just to piggyback a little... I'm tired of the rank and file people are good bull****. Oh yeah? Where ya been? I don't claim every man and woman working for the fed is bad. I do claim that good people working for the fed will do the bad **** the fed demands. It's human nature. Just stop with the rank and file bs. This whole thing in Texas is stupid. Just crazy stupid. Protect and defend the border. No border, no country. It isn't debatable.
If every single person crossing our border was an awesome person that America should want here, we still aren't doing it right. Make no mistake, every person crossing our border isn't awesome. This is insane. Close the ****ing border.
If the rank and file where good people texas would never have felt the need to call up the guard..

This is like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Except he’s 2 years too slow.
    What?

"Operation Lone Star is a border security initiative launched by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in March 2021 in response to rising border crossings, which he blames on President Joe Biden’s immigration policies."

When did the first barrier get put in place by Abbott? I can send hundreds of people anywhere and have them do nothing.

Based on the fact that border crossings didn’t decrease, I would have to say his actions at a minimum were ineffective. Standing and doing nothing is ineffective. So I can draw the conclusion they did nothing.
I would say that the policy of letting them in, then shipping them to NY and Chicago, has been somewhat effective in making sanctuary cities feel the heat. Draw any conclusion you want, but you obviously have no idea what logistics are involved in securing a 1,254 mile long border, nevermind the political ramifications of certain actions regarding this issue.

Cranking up the heat right now, in this election year, seems to be the right thing to do if you ask me. You have to make more people care about it than the ever-frothing peanut gallery on the internet.

Remember, it’s INGO culture to tear down the man in the arena who is doing the right thing because the commenter has 20/20 hindsight and perfect judgment.
Is he? Abbott seems to be focused on Eagle Pass, which is what, about a one mile stretch on the border?

What about the rest of the border?

Seems to me, the feds are setting up another Jan 6 type event at Eagle Pass, trying to get folks to take the bait...

Gov Abbott had plenty of opportunities to stop/slow border crossings since Biden took office and I fail to see where he took meaningful steps to do so.

Speaking of Abbott, where is he now?

If you are serious about actually doing something, don’t forget you can donate to bussing the illegals to those who helped precipitate this mess, donate to building the wall, or donate to border security operations:

Heck, donate to all three and collect the whole set!

    "Affirming the consequent."

Yeh, and based on the fact you have an IP address, I "can" draw the conclusion you're a 12-year old redhead trans-it :dunno:.
