After seeing the thread about the Girsan Witness 2011 I started looking around for a 2011 and I came across this

    https://www.classicfirearms.com/mil...enifer-cerakote-ambidextrous-safety-12500005/

Did a little googling and I’m reading (and watching videos) good things about this one, the only thing I’m concerned about is the fact that optics plates (other than the rmr plate it comes with) won’t be available till the fall.

The reviews say the trigger isn’t as good as a Staccato, but it’s also lot less, so before I drop 900 any one on ingo buy one yet?

    What’s your take?

Staccato triggers aren't all that anyway so I wouldn't worry about that part.

I seen some online reviews say it has a bad trigger around 8lb pull is that so?
The reviews I read were 5-5.5 pounds, and one bent the sear spring a little and it dropped to about 4 pounds.

I did get to finger fondle one at a local shop (940.00 plus tax) and it felt good, looked good, trigger was ok but not great (it could use some work) but as much as I wanted it, my problem was the mag release I couldn’t reach it with my thumb, and since this would be my new idpa pistol (shot 2-3 times a month) not being able to change the mag without adjusting my grip would make the Mac a no go for me.

Now if I knew for certain that 2011 extended mag releases would work, that might change it from a no to a possibly.

Every time I started thinking I want this, I go back to “I already have a 320 legion, with a dpp, and I have a 320 axg with a dpp for a backup gun…I already have everything I need to compete…do I really want to start over?”…so I talk myself out of buying one!

Then along comes my friend who says “i bought a Tisas 2011and it’s great!”…then the itch starts again!

If you don’t know tisas in turkey makes both and they’re both imported by SDS, and the differences are 5 inch bushing barrel, no mag well, and a curved trigger (and 125 bucks)

My trigger is much lighter. I’ll get trigger gauge on it today. It’s a 1911 so super simple to make trigger as nice and light as you want it. Out of the box compared to out of box prodigy there wasn’t a single thing I liked on prodigy better.

I’ll still take my CZs over anything always but this is a fun addition to the range toy collection.

I’m still on fence if it’s a keeper for me. Not so much the gun just the 2011 format. Couple range trips this weekend and maybe I’ll make a decision.
