Then show your work. The laughable thing is how you think that the .gov actually gave two :poop: s about what the people wanted.

You can pretend that the number one priority of the political class is to get re-elected is not real, but it is.
I don't know anyone that likes changing the clocks. Period. I have yet to ask anyone and have them answer, yes they like changing the clocks. You always focus on your own love of DST, and continue to ignore that most people just want to stop changing the clocks.
You guys are so predictable. I said; “I don’t like changing the clocks”. If that is a question it is a dumb one. DST is not about clocks. I can say I do know a few that don’t like DST but most are not put off enough to do a thing about it. You imagine that no one likes DST but you are wrong.

I'd really like to know why the House still refuses to take up the bill to make DST permanent. The Senate passed it unanimously. 19 states have passed bills to do so if the Fed ever changes the law. 17 more have bills submitted to be voted on.
Glad they don’t. Probably should call my rep to encourage them to not let this pass…

You keep wanting to make this about the actual changing of the clocks when it is about the results of such a mandate. A significant number of people don't want artificial daylight at what should be a time of darkness and/or artificial darkness that at what should be a time of light

So it becomes a worthless ritual leading to an undesirable state of affairs
Artificial lightness and darkness? You mean lamps and curtains?

You really need to actually read. Where did I say no one likes DST? Few people are actually saying DST is the issue. The much bigger issue is the changing clocks. That needs to stop.

Now that is funny. You love DST, but you don't want it year round. Call away.

Why does it need to stop? Changing a couple of clocks is that big of a deal? Have you ever studied the entire year of sunsets and sunrises?

It does work great for my life.

You just ignore that it actually adversely affects the people's bodies function. If Johnson will bring it up for a vote, it may well be ending in most of the country soon.

That of course will require a lot of programs and OSs to have to be changed/modified.

Got to get those priorities straight, nothing going on in the country more important than the devastation that changing clocks causes.

It would cost a fortune to change all that…

If only our overlords could manage to work on more than one thing at a time.

Not anymore than it did when they made the change in 2007. In fact most of it would be covered in people just turning off DST.

Wouldn’t every piece of software have to be changed? And that change is superior to DST?.

Yeah, but those updates should not be too bad. Most of that should just be a patch as the dates of DST/Standard time changes actually change on very short notice in many parts of the world anyway and that is handled by patches. Given some notice, it should just hopefully be updating some config files that provide the dates for the changes today, I'd think.

They keep bringing up the 'is changing clocks that hard' argument.
I think the only time that was brought up, was by me.
And that was about trying to change cantankerous legacy electronics.

So you believe in perfect software?

Probably use that level in voting machines!
I was referring to truly wasteful mistakes like missed appointments, missed opportunities, missed orders and shipments, the list could go on. The Indiana on their own time was the dumbest idea of all.
