The fairness doctrine was aimed at the new conservative media of thr '90s. They wanted the left to have as big an audience as Rush!Ether way it's biased one-sided reporting that people get. But that much is by choice of what sources they watch. Here, we have one side claiming that the other is the problem, ironically creating the one-sided biased viewpoint they say is a threat to democracy. I think that we should bring the fairness doctrine back. THAT's a better solution than trying to silence the side you disagree with, and pretending that they're the bad guys.
