Same thing happens with airports. They just bring in too much revenue for the government to close or move them.

They've even moved toll booth plazas.
People bought up land near them because it was cheaper.
Then complained about the noise.

The the taxpayer spends money to move the plaza.

Ether way it's biased one-sided reporting that people get. But that much is by choice of what sources they watch. Here, we have one side claiming that the other is the problem, ironically creating the one-sided biased viewpoint they say is a threat to democracy. I think that we should bring the fairness doctrine back. THAT's a better solution than trying to silence the side you disagree with, and pretending that they're the bad guys.

Hearing both sides argued fairly in the public square is way more valuable than hearing just one side. **** the media.

The fairness doctrine was aimed at the new conservative media of thr '90s. They wanted the left to have as big an audience as Rush!

But the point was they wanted to put people like Rush out of business because they can't meme or do talk radio like conservatives do.
