Only by the Grace of God did I make it thru my late teens / early 20s.
I can remember waking up in the morning wondering how I got home and who drove.
    Not proud of those actions.
Me and you both, although my worst years were late 20's and it didnt happen often. But the culture where I worked was drinking most afternoons. So I was home before PoPo was looking for drunks, that was probably all that saved me.

    This was avoidable.
If only there were an app you could download on your phone to summon a driver to take your drunk a** home safely.
Remember kids, an uber/taxi is FAR cheaper than a DUI.

What is it they say? You'll be out an average of $10,000 if you get caught?

I say he apologizes and gets a slap on the wrist from his bosses like the dems do and let his constituents speak next election. Its only fair, right? No more double standards.

Hell, that one dude in what is it PA? A long rap sheet including lying, campaign finance laws, etc. and he wont even apologize even though they pressured him to step down. I dont think anyone in the party even suggested he do anything but finish his term.

    Felony DUI ? That won’t be good….
I haven’t seen the official charges. If charged with a felony, he will immediately be prohibited from carrying a firearm.

IC 35-47-2-1.5 Unlawful carrying of a handgun

    (7) "Indictment" means any formal accusation of a crime made by a prosecuting attorney in any court for a crime punishable by a term of imprisonment exceeding one (1) year.

I will not judge on drinking and driving and wrecking. We all make mistakes and do stupid stuff. Leaving the scene however is character defining of a low life individual trying to get away with something. Not much use for em….. and there are more and more avoiders each day. Alleged that is.

Much more respect for those who own up to their actions.

    Felony DUI ? That won’t be good….
It won't be a felony unless he has had a prior DUI in the last five years.

The woman who hit my daughter in December has had multiple DUI arrests dating back to 1994. The last two were felonies. The last one was over five years ago so none of her charges were felonies. She was double the legal limit, fled the scene and ran them into a guardrail totaling my daughter's car. She hit the door where my grandson was sitting....she was extremely lucky nobody was injured. No jail time....probation, community service and fines.
