Sounds like DeSantis is saying the right things and I believe he adheres to what he is saying and it's not just lip service to attract some base.. i do agree though that he is somewhat lacking in a strong charismatic delivery but I like his message.

I also agree with the YouTuber that he should focus on taking it to the Democrat opposition and the bureaucratic administrative state instead of getting mired in the mud attacking other primary candidates. I think if he sticks to that and makes his case it will be his best option.

So Ken Griffith donated $5 million to back DeSantis. The same guy who donated and backed Obama.
Got a source for that? Just skeptical since Griffith donates bigly to Rs:

MIAMI — Hedge fund CEO and philanthropist Ken Griffin smiled when asked if he wants to be the No. 1 political donor in 2024.

He has given nearly $60 million to federal Republican candidates and campaigns this election cycle. That puts Griffin behind just liberal billionaire George Soros, who’s given more than $128 million to Democrats, and Richard Uihlein, who aligns himself with far-right candidates and organizations, at about $62 million.

Or is one of those playing both sides types?

Also saw where DeSantis can’t by law be a VP for Trump. I think Trump will destroy DeSantis in debates so bad he probably won’t even win as FL governor again.

I think you're right... DeSantis won't be governor of Florida again... he's term limited. :lmfao:

Trump does command the debate stage and is formidable... we will have to see how it turns out.

Hopefully he comes with better than this....

I was able to catch Trey Gowdy's interview with DeSantis. One thing DeSantis has going for him is that he stays on point and articulates his message well which is a good thing. I also think a charismatic personality needs to play a part though because you have to be able to captivate and keep your intended audience focused on your message as well. Again, I like his message so far.

Yes, I've noticed that, DeSantis tends to answer the question that he was asked. Politicians don't do that, they answer with some crap they wanted to say and it doesn't matter what the question was about. He will have to improve.

    106 seconds of Ron DeSantis
6 minutes, 10 seconds of blah, blah youtuber telling people how they should think about it

I think it is just me but I can't stand these youtubers telling me how to think. That is just as bad as the lame stream media telling people how to think.
I want just the Ron DeSantis part and I can figure out if I like it or not. Leave out all the boolcrap, all the hand signals, all the blah, blah. That just lowers the signal to noise ratio.

I get your point. I even cut out some of the prior things he said and started it when he finally began introducing the sound bytes. I mainly posted it for what DeSantis was saying. Next time I won't post any clips.

I know a lot of people here would rather read about most things then watch a YouTube video anyway. Youtubers have opinions as well, He was just giving his take like anyone else I guess. I think he even says let me know what you think down in the comment section at the end of his videos.

Some are agreeably annoying, and some do occasionally make good points. Just like here on Ingo. Myself included. :D

I happen to agree with him on pretty much everything. It is just me missing the old days when one could find news and information without all the blather around it.

I must say he is hitting all the right notes which I believe to be genuine Once again I like the message. Stay focused on the mission that I agree with and I will always support that. I don't need any sideshow activity.

DeSantis has been a proven fighter over the course of his political career even before he became Governor as well worthy of consideration IMO. Kurt Schlichter who many of us seem to like has the same opinion of DeSantis in a recent column that was re-posted here.

I didn’t catch the official campaign launch on Twitter. (Does that put me out of the running for the “my guy” supporter of the year award?)

Anyway so I guess things weren’t so smooth in the campaign rollout? If we’re keeping score I think this is a fair point loss for DeSantis. You hype up something like this, you better deliver. I think DeSantis wants to show his “doer” chops.

He got some good things done in FL. I just think unforced errors undermines what I think is a good platform and the impression of his competence on the national stage.

What wasn't so smooth? What were the unforced errors?

I didn't catch it either. I'm mostly going by what I read on the official campaign website that SD4L posted. People with an ounce of fairness and diligence would visit an official campaign website before writing a candidate off.
