My brother-in-law was a senior executive with Old National Bank before climbing up to a position with another institution.

    Me:
Did you know any of these people?

    Sister:
Most of them. ******* was still close with Jim Tutt and knew Tommy Elliott. Also was close with others shot and/or nearby at the time. ******* has a call each Wednesday with another dear friend who just retired from that office. Connor’s parents were best friends with one of the top people at ONB in Evansville, who we are also very close with. We have socialized with his parents (and him when he was younger) many times over the years. Great family.

Things you won’t see the media reporting about: Connor’s recent association with BLM and recently beginning antidepressants that are common in most of these shootings. They take away the highs and lows of depression but are known to cause suicidal thoughts and erratic behavior.
Sad. The reporting is claiming that he was fired, or about to be fired. Something messed up must have been happening for him to wash out of a job he appeared qualified for and had family connections to.

If it’s on the internet, it’s not getting removed, he’s not adding to it. You don’t think that instagram has the ability to see edits or deleted content?
Who assumes HE'S the only one with his password? Maybe they can, maybe there are times they don't have access to deleted content. It's not worth the risk.
You keep working around my point that grown adults should be able if they so please to look at this guy’s posts on the internet and form their own conclusions about who he was, what he believed, etc. As grown adults we don’t need to be protected from his prior Reddit/ ig posts that didn’t violate tos and were allowed to be viewed by anyone until the point he committed a mass shooting. Me knowing what this guy posted about does not interfere with any agency’s investigation. It does however arm us with the intelligence to be able to combat those that blame shootings on republicans, and those that want to strip our rights from us.
I believe FB and Insta are not visible when locked. I would be surprised that ANY website owner wouldn't want these POS murders' sites taken down, locked or not.
Did this guy go postal, most likely. I’m not trying to take anyone’s job and play detective. I would however like to be able to say “you can look here and see this guy was anti trump, anti 2a, etc and his actions weren’t that of a right wing supporter” like people on the internet will and probably already have said. The more information the public has the more they’re able to come to rational conclusion. Now that it’s all been removed the media, agencies, whomever can put out false narratives to push the topic in the direction of their choosing.

Why can’t the public know the trans shooters manifesto? Why are they quickly out of the media? The fbi/ leo’s could do a lot to garnish public trust if they were more transparent and less involved with infiltrating groups just to add stress to an already unstable structure.
I find it humorous that you think allowing the sights to remain up would quiet ANY conspiracy theory. It would just go down one more layer deeper, accusations of someone else posting as the shooter. The thing about the internet is that ANY bugger-eating moron's opinion carries the same weight as everyone else's, look at some of the idiodic 9/11 conspiracies. Social media is only a SMALL part of a killer's profile and could be a wildly inaccurate glimpse. I know most investigators put ZERO thought into politics when making decisions regarding their investigations and press releases.

First of all, as always thank you for your professional inside information. :ingo:

Don't these whack jobs often telegraph their intentions? It concerns me that by wiping the loon's online presence, we fail to hold enablers around them accountable for standing by and watching as the obvious dangerously mentally ill gear up for mass murder?

Sadly most of these telegraphs happen only minutes before. At least in the last couple. Or it is confused with unserious internet bravado. Like the uber driver that was convicted in a self defense shooting because he (in theory) joked about needing to shoot protesters in the days up to his incident.

The only way I see possible to effectively stop these shootings based on social media posts/texts is to take a zero tolerance stance and arrest ANYONE who makes a potentially threatening post. like "Biden needs to DIAF". Lock him up for threatening the prez. "somebody needs to shoot Biden in the head" Arrest them for planning to kill the president. How do we know the posters were not going to firebomb or shoot the prez? Cant be too careful you know. :nono:

The problem is doing that infringes on more innocents and the cure is worse than the disease.

Agreed! Why didn’t his friend he was texting or his mom that he confided in do something?

Maybe they tried but all the details aren’t out yet…

I'm out beyond my ski's on this, but isn't the murderers dad a coach and teacher?

Wouldn't one think l that at least someone in this circle could pick up on the idea that this mentally ill person might harm himself along with others?

Maybe be a silly question…but after reading that news update I just posted, what would be the point of this…

“When he took office earlier this year, Greenberg instituted a policy to remove the firing pins from seized weapons before turning them over to state police.”

Couldn’t whoever ended up with said weapon just purchase another firing pin and install it?? :dunno:

Try as they might a lot of parents look at their kids with Rose Colored Glasses. Even if he was exhibiting something parents are the last people to say there's something wrong with their kid. Plus he was gone to Alabama for 6 years, 4 years undergraduate, 2 years master's program. Clearly he fell into a group of people down there like BLM is what I've been hearing.

I got the feeling from what my wife has been telling me, from friends of hers that knows the family, that that kid was one of the type of kids that bends in the way the wind is blowing with whatever group he's with. Seems like to me he might have been a little easy to manipulate, a little malleable when it comes to shaping what he thinks by people who are good at warping a person's brain. He bought into the leftist way of speaking and thinking. Plus now it looks like he was having a bout of depression. Unfortunately a perfect storm to let loose whatever it is he had boiling up inside of him

They're doing something to appease people that know nothing about firearms other than they don't like them. It serves that purpose effectively.

I’m at work but my mind and heart is not.

Yesterday, I knew of these terrible events but I just prayed for all involved and trucked on. I didn’t see any updates until late yesterday evening. It’s really weighing on my heart how so many people’s lives were changed forever yesterday.

Could you imagine just going to work or thinking your mom or dad was just headed out for a days work?? I feel so bad for the victims’ families. And not only for the victims…Could you imagine being the shooters parents? Knowing the terrible thing your child just did??

    I just can’t…. :(

And expect pressure from the governor for new laws. There is a sound byte of him talking about two of the dead he knew, and his voice was wavering and cracking from emotion. I guess he has an office in that building. Reelection campaign, Republican HQ, etc. I dont recall which.

So this is obviously personal for him.

Yes, he stated during one of the press releases that he was pretty close to one of the victims and had known him for many years. I don’t remember who he was but he said that he(the victim) helped him get into office and it sounded as though they had a personal friendship as well.

I don't want to sound hard hearted or unfeeling but this happens literally every day. People leave home like any normal day and don't come home. Car crashes, heart attacks, hit by a bus, fire, etc etc. for 2021 10k people died every single day.

Yes, this is sad that one pile of **** did this to others, but on a day to day basis it's not even a statistical anomaly.

For you MommaBean, I hope the best of your situation and hope you find your way to work through it.
