You are entitled to your opinion. I dont think anyone was upset by your take. You're not the first, and definitely not the last. It is what it is.

One other side note. You need pretty thick skin to get along here happily. If you dont let folks get under your skin you'll have a great time here. Enjoy!

And everyone here has simply stated how they feel.
As someone else said up thread, as someone who has been here for a few weeks, I want to know who I'm dealing with and reading through responses to various topics gives us a sense of who you are.
Otherwise I could just try to deal with some random Joe on Craigslist.
There are some people that have been on here quite a while, but I still wouldn't sell anything to them.

It still amazes me that people come here and get butt hurt because a firearms forum has rules!

I’m on a few guitar and drum forums that are wayyy more restrictive than INGO, yet we keep getting people crying about how unfair it is here.

Yep, it’s a family friendly site. There are a lot of young folk that view this site. We should show them how to be civil in an uncivilized world.

The vulgarity filter is one of the reasons I choose this to be my only social media interaction.

You'd be surprised. One reason we sell here is BECAUSE of the rules. Once again, this aint Armslist. Most sellers WANT these rules. Or they would sell on other sites without the rules.

Heck, I've been known to cross ship lower dollar items to folks here that I have a history with in conversation and tell them "just send me a money order. I know you're good for it. " Never been burned.

Oh, and a benefit of the rule? Meetups for sales/trades is a helluva lot more fun. I'd say my average sale lasts 20 minutes. 2 minutes to do the deal and 18 to shoot the breeze because we have a connection. Its nice to put a face to the screen name.

I’m just catching up on this thread. Just reading a few of @bullcrap’s threads, I don’t thin skin is a problem.

@bullcrap I see you’re from Paoli. We might know a few of the same people. My best friend lives a little east of there.
