Police responded quickly but arrived to find Tyler beat up and held at gunpoint, thanks to the actions of three men who had been inside the first apartment he had entered.
Yet another criminal fails to demonstrate good victim selection skills.
But he's young and will learn things like how not to pick the apartment with three armed men in it during his upcoming (hopefully) prison time.

This story illustrates that criminals shouldn't be allowed to own firearms.
Mr. Tyler probably could have saved himself serious bodily harm along with property damage from the stray round, had he simply broke in without a firearm.

I saw this had made national news yesterday.

(Good guys with guns? I thought that never happened.)
A group of Indiana apartment residents beat up a would-be robber and kept him in custody using their own firearms until authorities could arrest him, police said.

(He looked like he broke down the door with his face.)
Tyler and the residents received multiple facial injuries, but only Tyler required immediate medical attention. Police took him to the hospital before taking him to Howard County Criminal Justice Center for holding.

He’s lucky to not have gotten shot.

There's a bit of an off flavor here. Not calling it rancid, but there's a funny smell.

Breaks in with TWO guns @ 3:25am, wearing a ski-mask to hide his face.
This particular place has THREE men (of which at least one was armed) in residence.

Don't get me wrong, he deserved every helping from that potluck. But my Spidey senses are saying that there's another part to this story that we haven't heard yet.
