Just like our side taking the Senate (which was going to save us) was a sure thing in 2020? The idea that definitely probably maybe the elephants could possibly take both the House and Senate does not make me comfortable about ceding Young's Senate seat to the donkeys.
Why not he just voted like a Donkey again. This time for leftist environmental garbage.
However, you seem to be for it too.
    Along with some gun control.
Young has voted like a Donkey multiple times recently and it's okay with you.

One poll shows McDermott within 3% of Young. Hey if we all try really hard, maybe INGO can put him over the top!

BTW, The NRA gives McDermott an "F".

Yep, every vote matters. I just cannot understand the thinking that 2A supporters not voting for a candidate with a B NRA rating, or worse voting for a candidate with a F NRA rating, is somehow furthering the interests of 2A supporters…

Because those are the only two choices
    You forgot the purple…
Nope. It is his place to earn the votes he gets. If he doesn't earn enough votes, he has no one to blame but himself.

Who said those not voting for young is voting for someone worse? I'm writing in Danny Niederberger.

Write in candidates are a diversion not a viable choice in an election. So hypothetically, in this case, we have a NRA rated B candidate, a NRA F rated candidate on the ballot, and a write in NRA A rated candidate, the latter has about a 1% chance of winning from the research I have seen on the topic. That is not a viable candidate, heck, the write in could not even win the primary. It is very possible that the write in will siphon off enough votes the F rated candidate can win.

That is creating a win for the worst possible candidate to spite a B rated candidate, not an outcome I want to live with. We must defeat those B rated candidates in the primaries, not elect F rated to prove a point. This is not school yard stuff…

Indeed. I'd go even further and say that a write-in vote is nothing more than a statement. And I get it; Young is not as conservative as we want, but as @Ingomike said, now is not the time for that. Nothing good can come from changing the balance of power in the Senate by two, not the least of which are potential Supreme Court Justice nominees.

Can we please take this Todd Young distraction to one of the other threads?

There are only about 10 of them.

    Thinking emotionally and not strategically

Unfortunately, revenge is a luxury reserved for after we win durable control of the direction the country is headed. Even having to settle for a small win in the senate is a disaster because it magnifies the powers of the likes of a Romney to hold legislation hostage

We need a squish-proof majority in the senate and McConnell has to fall on his sword. His removal of support from a winnable Arizona seat because the candidate is 'too Trumpy' is unconscionable. He needs to be shown the door that the Republican Party is not his nor anyone's personal plaything

    McConnell delenda est

    You new here? LOL

While you are cleaning up threads we have a thread about Fed-X shipping that has an unclear title and is now a discussion of computer networks that began after WFH was discussed. LOL

I've stayed out of that one.

Yeah, I don't know why I bother trying. Might as well embrace the chaos.

I am proud to announce that I will be writing myself in for Senate. I would do a better job than Todd Young or Danny what's his name.

    Deal with it.
