Any opinions on this sleeping bag?

That seems like a gimmick bag, Frosty.

Personally, I use a mummy bag as a quilt. I just unzip it with my feet in the box and drape it over me like a quilt. I use it both in the hammock and the tent that way.

With that said, I'm in the market for a real quilt.

I did not want to say it,but I agree. When something is more complex than it needs to be(more zippers than needed for example) I would give it a pass. It is also rather costly for what it is.

I have almost reached a decision on my winter bag. This is what I will likely get(the YKK zipper and insulation sold me,plus it is made in the USA).8'x11' in the compression sack they give you,and it only weights in at 3.45lbs(with compression sack).

Thanks guys, that’s why I asked, no point in dropping the money and finding out it isn’t what I need. With that said, you guys have any suggestions?

Mine was in my last post(sleeping bag).
I have a quilt and even tried it out for a short time. My problem is moving in my sleep, and moving off my pad. At least with most good sleeping bags they can be secured to your pad. I have not seen a quilt that can be. I also found it more difficult to keep all my limbs covered. I do not move that much, but it is enough to end up partially uncovered and cold in a quilt.

I was looking for more of a 3 season bag, I feel like I’d be swimming on a warm summer night with a 0 degree bag :): I did check out their 30 degree bags, although the reviews are a little concerning, I may just pull the trigger on one and return it if there’s problems with it.

Exofficio returned due to excessive pilling trying out tommy John sport boxer briefs. Ordered another pair of darn tough socks they are going to replace my sock entire drawer.

Heel pain is getting better very slowly…. Been icing and using foot massager with heat daily. Also have skipped my daily walks the past couple days to try and expedite recovery. It is really killing me (skipping my walks and my pain lol)

So I got the goruck boots. I would be mad had I paid the normal price of $200 but got them on clearance for $90.

so they offer practically no ankle support / stability.

I hate that they do not have the rapid lace style fittings.

and the insoles are terrible feet hurt badly.

have put only a few miles on them 20ish.

the good… they are light they dry quickly wide toe box and they were $90

so my question to the pros….. is there an insole I can buy to replace the factory one to help me? Don’t really want to waste $90 but they are not returnable.

I would be food for the vultures if I took these on the AT LOL

i know feet will hurt but these things make the bottoms of me feet unbearably sore. is there somewhere for shoe experts? I am having a heck of a time finding something that works going on 7 pairs of boots in under a year
So it won’t let me edit my post…… I think my insole issue is actually my feet and not the boots fault. But I did order the easy feet big boy (220#+) insoles to see if that helps

That’s what mine say, I figured the easiest solution was to just throw them over the towel bar in the bathroom, they dry pretty quick, and it’s a real conversation starter when you have company over!

Maybe you'll get some converts to the Ditcherman Cult of the Dry Crotch ! ;)
