Why a 4 minute camera presser to say, literally, nothing? Then decline questions. If the news is, " ...motion filed with court...", wouldn't a simple written press release suffice?
This is a very precarious time for America. We no longer have a baseline. There is no foundational institution we can turn to for stability. The corruption is insurmountable within the rules created by .gov. The .gov has a monopoly on force. And it will use that force on anyone, for any reason. Truth is now what they say it is, reality be damned.

Now no one can say he didn't make a statement. They can say he didn't say anything, though - kind of like Biden giving a speech or Jean-Pierre giving a press briefing

Pinocchio Garland just wanted to get out there and say some bull**** about the rule of law, equal justice and how much Integrity the FBI and the DOJ has. He'll never get to become a real boy if he keeps telling lies like that.

Sure... I think this sub-forum is not a good overall representation of what conservatives think. I believe this forum is primarily skewed to the higher end of the age demographic and a particular socioeconomic make-up. That doesn't make the opinions shared inherently wrong but hardly makes them representative of conservatives as a whole.

Do you think this forum is a good place for a liberal person to better understand conservatives as a whole?

Thanks for the thoughtful response and question. I'm going to think about your question and respond more eloquently a little later, but in short: I do believe most conservatives, in every demographic you care to name, share a few core beliefs and concepts in regards to governance and the Constitution and what's productive for our country and it's people.

For instance, I believe most conservatives, young, old, rich or poor, know it's not a good idea to try and kill our fossil fuel industry at this point in time. It makes no sense, and hurts everyone but the truly rich, yet is thrust upon us, either under a legitimate belief in climate emergency, or as some think, a plan to consolidate power and make money. Either way, the damage is done. Can you imagine the $$ that changes hands between the power players and China, just in solar panels and windmills?

That's just one example. I believe there are many conservative principles shared across the spectrum called conservatism that a liberal could learn about on INGO.

    FYI
On this forum sarcasm is usually typed in purple text to avoid any confusion.
I don’t purple. Well. I almost never purple. Purpling kinda ruins the sarcasm. It’s like first saying, “the following is sarcasm so please don’t take it seriously.” But, LG did get it past me. I thought he was totally serious.

Saw this released regarding Cincinnati today. Is it just me or is this a blatant statement tying MaraLago, Hunter Biden, etc together? Non political. Right.
FBI Director Christopher Wray released a statement following the attempted breach and fatal standoff:

"Unfounded attacks on the integrity of the FBI erode respect for the rule of law and are a grave disservice to the men and women who sacrifice so much to protect others. Violence and threats against law enforcement, including the FBI, are dangerous and should be deeply concerning to all Americans. Every day I see the men and women of the FBI doing their jobs professionally and with rigor, objectivity, and a fierce commitment to our mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution. I am proud to serve alongside them."

That's a good point. On INGO, the sentiment for Holcomb has been quite negative. INGOservatives were mostly in favor of the libertarian candidate running against Holcomb. But, Holcomb won in a landslide. I think most run-of-the-mill conservatives are either neocons or chamber-o-commerce Republican types. So they like candidates like Holcomb.

But, I think this forum does represent Trump fans fairly well. If someone wants to understand Trump fans better, it's probably fair representation. Said another way, almost all Trump fans are at least a little conservative, but not all conservatives are Trump fans.
