Pizza Delivery is Dead to Me

I'm done ordering pizza for delivery. Domino's never has drivers available, and I just tried to order from Papa John's and it was going to be 90 minutes (optimistically) for delivery so I canceled that order. Why don't these places just be honest and stop ordering delivery as an option?

Our local Domino's used to be awesome pre-Covid. When the gubmint started paying people to stay home, that was the effective end of reliable pizza delivery.

Local small pizza place still has reliable delivery. Very rare in todays world.

A couple of the local pizza joints near me are good to go. Once in awhile I'll get Papa John's at work and usually within 20-25 minutes of placing my order online it's at the shop for delivery.

Haven't had pizza slut or dominos in ages, so no idea on them

There was a time when Dominos had a 30 minute delivery promise; or the pizza was free! Back in the day!

It sounds like they already thought of the children and saved her from Domino's or Pappa John's.

That's a first world problem though, we can't get delivery and the only pizza place within 8 miles is a Chicago's.

Try ordering from a mom and pop not domino’s. Most mom and pops in our area are about 45 mins dominos 90 to 120

I wouldn’t consider either places as a place that serves pizza, call Arnie’s on 135 carry out and pick it up. For us it is a lot better

Our papa Johns is about a block away, usually they are about 20 for delivery, and it’s always smoking hot. We have a monicals, great pizza and breadsticks, love their subs to, but hate their delivery. I’ve had a couple times I’ve waited an hour and called to cancel and they were like oh no they are walking out the door with it right now. I gave up on pizza the hut years ago, I’d order delivery, twenty minutes later they’d call and say the pizza was ready but they don’t have a driver Domino’s isso we don’t even bother.

Do you have a Jetts pizza nearby? The closest one to us is on the eastern side of Jeffersonville, and I’m on the western side of Clarksville, and they have a nice hot pizza here within 30 minutes most times.

That being said, we (well, I) told pizza king to eff off earlier this year when they went to grub hub as their delivery service. They went from around $25-30 for a pizza and breadsticks to almost $40 !!!! I love pizza king but I can do without if that’s how they want to screw their customers.
