It does seem to be mostly minorities that are still wearing masks, at least in my area. Not sure why that is.

One possibility is many are among the least able to afford to be sick and may also have less resources to receive medical care if they become sick. Masking is more common on the reservations for just that reason

Sad that they're wasting money on cheap disposable masks that do nothing instead of improving their dietary intake and buying vitamins.

I’ve noticed that in the last few months! What is it with that? The last several times I’ve been in Kroger if there were 5 people wearing masks, 4 of them were black. I’ve been trying to figure out why.

And some just have them down around their chins. So I really don't get it.

TBF, there wasn't a nasty virus spreading like wildfire, and wearing a mask pre-pandemic was almost unthinkable in the US.

how about the flu…………….. which oddly enough you don’t hear about anymore ? The flu was / is dangerous to people with compromised immune systems. And the mask is proven to not help against corona or the flu. Wearing a mask in an unsterile environment does much more harm than good, especially for prolonged periods, not to mention reusing disposable and the reusable.

I heard today that maybe the one area where democrats poll better than republicans right now is handling covid. Maybe that’s why they’re all of a sudden trying to leverage fear about the latest seasonal surge. When you suck on so many important issues, I guess you have to do what you have to do to help redirect the public’s attention.

I think it depends on the region. Seems to me people are just done with covid even if covid isn't done with us.
