That just tells me that, unlike when RBG clung to her perch believing Hilary would win and name her replacement, Breyer knows that the days when 0Biden can pass anything are numbered and wants his replacement confirmed before the 118th congress is seated
She's already been confirmed, but your general point is valid.

I think this early departure is him saying "F*** this noise! I'm too old to put up with this crap. I'm out!"
There was a social media campaign to get him to retire and make room for someone more worthy. He's definitely got enough cis straight white male guilt to comply. The winds were right to replace him with someone else who wants to do has he/she/zee thinks is best for the country and circumvent the legislative process. Someone who is black, and a woman, and married into the upper-crust of Boston social society. The perfect blend of superficial representation with 1%er status.

Rep. John Jacob has asked to contact your Reps. and State Senators to support The Life Bill, 1282. I got a bad feeling Holcomb and RINO’s are going to fumble this and fumble bad if we don’t get on them. Looks like they are now stalling

Just saw on the news (WTHR) that the Indiana special session of the legislature has now been pushed from July 6 to July 25th.
They' serve us better by pushing it even farther to January 2023. And spend that time talking to constituents, crafting a well nuanced bill instead of a rushed bill.

I was talking to my very liberal niece about this. We both agreed this won't stop legal abortions because some states will keep them legal.
We also agreed that some women will go to these states to have an abortion.
We also agreed it will definitely slow down abortions.
It's a good ruling IMO. Let the states decide because it really wasn't the federal governments business.

Sounds like your liberal niece has some common sense.... pretty rare for a liberal. My liberal niece (and SIL) seem to think the sky is falling...

When we started the conversation I thought it would go that route but was shocked to see her think like that. Maybe she's coming around like I hope many are, and seeing the Democrat party for what they really are.

I visited D.C. yesterday for a tour of the Capitol building and the Library of Congress. I walked over to the Supreme Court building to see the protests for myself. The entire street was blocked off for what amounted to one lady with a bullhorn and a handful of others. She was mostly ranting about how they were the doing the work of protesting for our rights while no one else seemed to care. Ironically, she was also complaining about how we are supposed to be a Democracy and the Supreme Court shouldn't be allowed to make laws, not kidding!

We literally have legalized dismemberment of living human children. We don't need nuance we need something to stop the killing, and we need it yesterday.

One nation under god. The word Republic falls in there as well. No mention of democracy past the MSM agenda machine.
