This Ministry of Truth I hear so much about reminds me of a similar organization run by one Josef Goebels. You remember him don’t you all as the Minister of Propaganda for the Nazi Party before and during WWII under Adolph Hitler. Don’t the idiots who run this country ever learn from history? They have learned history alright. They use Hitler, Stalin, and Mao as more of a "How To" example. But their flavor of socialism will be better this time.

They don't learn from history because public schools stopped teaching it. Even when I was in public school it seemed like we started at the dawn of civilization and plodded along, civilization after civilization, until they realized it's a week from end of the school year and we're only up to the American revolution so the curriculum accelerated to the point that about 10 minutes was spent on the 20th century - two world wars, JFK assassination, we walked on the moon, go enjoy your summer vacation!

I would say the same goes for literature. Banning library books was never about protecting impressionable young minds, rather someone in the Democratic party read Orwell's 1984 and decided they need to keep it out of the hands of young people otherwise they'll recognize it's actually the liberal playbook! This whole Disinformation Governance Board is proof of that and the fact that so many Americans didn't recognize it immediately is because their brains are full of SpongeBob instead of actual improving literature. And I totally agree with the sentiments expressed that this hasn't gone away, rather they're just taking it behind the curtain so people won't see it in plain sight how manipulated they are.
