Threads with reference material or a continuing topic should be bumped when new info is added.

Threads should not be bumped just to say thanks for the info, I like this (use that button that says "like"), WOW or other non contributing stuff, IMO.
I dunno. I think if someone bumps it with something like, "wow, thanks for the info. I can use that to add another notch to the bedpost" I mean, it doesn't really say a whole lot but it's entertaining.

Those aren't acceptable for a new guy however old the post is.

It may be time to go resurrect some old Threads though. :p

Any post that is not just a short one liner counts. Basically, make comments germane to the thread you are in that have a little content to them.

I'd much prefer to keep the germans out of it, unless we're talking tater salad!

And, for the record, the above is almost certainly not a quality post, as very few would truly find it funny (well, *I* do, but I'm easily amused...) and really contributes nothing to the overall thread. But then, I'm really good at that part, too!

German potato salad is nasty. It's warm. And it tastes like pure vinegar. Neither of which is acceptable to true 'Mericans! :p

Unlike the longstanding debate about G**** vs. 1911, there is no reason to not enjoy both kinds of tater salad.
Probably not at the same time though, as that would be nasty.

And for those claiming not to like vinegar, I'd relish your explaining how to make mustard without it. Might find yourself in a bit of a pickle though!

Did I mention I'm easily amused???

It's 50 QUALITY posts. Bouncing from one thread to another posting short things like cool, nice gun, me too, that sucks etc do not count and will be removed.

Another option if gaining access to the classifieds, as it seems you are, is to become a Site Supporter. $20 for 12 months. The link is on the right side of the home page.
    Ditto.

I think a "one liner" can be good, but "it depends".
    And usually it is not.

But it should contribute to the conversation.

For instance, responding to a question "What is the Indiana Code relating to the "Employer Parking Lot Law in relation to storing guns", and a response with a link to the IC, that would be a quality post.
    At least in my opinion.
