Just noticed a small business jet flying from Oslo land at a small airport just west of the Polish / Ukraine border then take off back north when the flight plan said it was going from Farnborough to Milan, which is nowhere close to where it was. At the beginning of the war, their factories were not bombed, and they had tech superiority, and strategic superiority.

Yet they lost.

The thing is, tech is important.
But, many times in history, a numerically technologically superior force was defeated.
It is not a forgone conclusion.

It wasn’t necessarily the technology or the warriors that caused a loss. Often times poor leadership.

Hitler… winning until he went bat s… crazy. Invade Russia in the winter, distracted massacring Jews…

Vietnam… politicians limiting warriors being warriors and no clear mission other than stopping the red herd. Just like so many other US engagements.

Putin… heading towards bat s… crazy. Too much pride to take a loss and pull back. Just like Afghanistan for both Russia and US.

If the only goal and focus is war and winning the objective is clear. When politicians stick their noses in the process things go poorly.

The list of countries who have not condemned Putin is larger than the ones who have,and account for more of the population of earth.
China,India,and Brazil have not condemned Russia invading. No country other than Libya in Africa has. Not a single US ally in the middle east has either. Not even Israel has condemned the invasion.
Our southern neighbor Mexico is not participating in sanctions of any kind,and is allowing flights from Russia and encouraging more trade with them,and has actually supported Putin.

To say Putin is hated by the world because you only see one view is not a good thing.

I think the days of SWIFT and western control of global trade(US dollar) are ending. We should have never limited SWIFT access. We exported our manufacturing and went "Green" at the cost of energy and manufacturing independence. We overthrew governments and tried to police the world,pissing lots of people off along the way. We let bankers control our currency without any real oversight,gave up even having a gold standard. We have allowed political correctness to the extreme,even letting it control our military. We spy on ourselves and any voice that disagrees is silenced. We let our education system undermine everything we stood for.

This must be how the Romans felt near the end of that empire.

We can boast about how great a nation we are,and mind you I love our constitution but we are far from following it. I think the days of the world thinking we are a great free and all powerful nation are already over.

It will take a miracle to save the US dollar(federal reserve note),let alone for it to remain dominant globally.

Unless there is a dramatic shift back to our constitution and some accountability for the mess we are in the decline of America is a given.
