    Good Morning : My Peep-Hole

Today I am carless, as my beloved 144,000 mile Subaru Outback has an interesting clicking sound in the front left.

Probably not a hub as it is too rhythmic. Consistently getting louder and really sings when I turn hard left.

Took it to my "guy" and he states its prolly a CV joint....nice, on my car that only drives straight lines for 144,000 miles.

Mkay, whatever, lets get the credit card warmed up and do this.

Maybe it's time for that new to me used Tundra I've been dreaming about.

    YMMV

For what it's worth, I sold ALOT of CV shafts in my auto parts days. Also installed quite a few when I turned a wrench for a living. Not an uncommon failure. Just like a U-Joint, they get a lot of torque put through them.

Our first Suby needed CV joints at about the same point but it was my fault since I had noticed the boots were torn about 30k miles earlier. IIRC, it was an easy job that only took a couple of hours. Messy, but not difficult.

    Morning folks

Played the break a fever game again last night, thankfully slept thru it well, had to change my shirt out afterwards. This morning I feel better, but my throat is sore, so the hot coffee is more refreshing than usual.

Hot toddy’s will fix a sore throat every time, no fail. The key is to just keep drinking them until the sore throat doesn’t bother you. It normally takes one but I’ve never had a sore throat that burned through 5 of them. :)

I wonder if S&W will eventually sell their new AR grip separately. They come with interchangeable backstraps. I do like the M&P 2.0 grip texture and shape.

Night sweats were the worst part for me. Sore throat was a short term effect. Had the night sweats about 4 nights. Hope it leaves quickly, T. I'm still barking up some lung congestion.

It's an interesting cycle. I'm just starting to cough some stuff up. Seems like the body aches and fatigue start towards middle of the day and get really bad at night. Clinic told me about 2 weeks is average for the crud to work it's way through completely.

Let me know when you decide to retire that old worn out Outback, I might be interested. :)
