Looking for a realtor that works in the Hebron area. Anyone here? Or that can recommend one? Thanks.

My parents are finally ready to escape Illinois.

Been repotting plants and doing garden stuff. Took off the hoses and cut back the big potted geranium plant so I could bring it in. We kept it in the house all winter last year and it did fine.

We have a little half wall between the kitchen and the family room, and I put a bar of full-spectrum LED floodlight bulbs right above it. Who knew I had such a green thumb. If I had one bit of advice it would be don't overwater.

I just planted the plants into the lady head planter. It will look better when they fill in and get bigger.

    Thanks for the reminder.
Need 2 drain the water line going outside and bring in the garden hose. No desire to get into crawl space 2 turn off the water line. Ugh.

Do you have to turn it off in the crawlspace if you unhook the hose? I have heard it both ways. I don't really want to go down there if I don't have to.

Edit: I went down and braved the spiderwebs. I'm not afraid of spiders, but I hate picking spiderwebs out of my hair. This time I took a couple of rags down with me and tied them onto the pipes where the shutoffs are, so from now on I won't have to go wandering around the whole crawlspace looking for them.

I was going to post in the classifieds but thought I would put it out here first.

I just removed an approximately 2-yr old white top mount utility sink from the laundry room. Dimensions are 25x22 and 12.5 inches deep. Includes an American Standard faucet, connector hoses, drain tail piece and drain plug. It's all in good shape and ready to drop in place. $25

Not sure if you HAVE to turn off the shut off value or not. In the house jedi grew up in we never did, or put the insulation cone over the sprout and NOTHING ever occured.

In the house before this one it had those outdoor anti-trust one like this...

    FH08MAY_488_52_019.jpg

Inspector said no need to turn off line which was in lower level since the anti-frost protects it and the lower level was kept warm by house. Guess what occured. :xmad:

So for this place jedi took NO CHANCES last winter and shut off the line, drained the line, added the insulation cones.

    About $6 at home depot

So jedi will do that again this year to avoid the $$$ plumber bill.

Got a lot accomplished today. Mainly, planting 4 trees so the wife can cut greenery off of annually for decorating rather than spending +$50 on someone's trash. Then, mowing the lawn without leaving ruts and trashing it. Also, got the kid a leaf pile started. He and the neighbor kid enjoyed that while the adults sat by the table with a fire in the center with libations.

I think the water shutoff debacle depends on the house, my parents house in Dyer off of Sheffield was an older farm style house that froze pipes if we didn’t have the pipes wrapped in heat tape and leave the water trickling in the faucets. My current house was built in 98 and even with the “unprecedented” sub zero temps two (ish) years ago we had zero issues. Pretty much depends on your situation

In reality, that would be me only doing 85 in the left lane, passing everyone else, and you coming up doing 100 trying to ram me.

    At 2am YES.
With a few if any cars on the road if you are going "that slow" stay to the right. ;)

    At 5am NO.
Too many cars not enough room to maneuver.

Ha! There's still room to maneuver at 5.

Not me. I just go around on the right. :p

You are guilty of 'failure to yield right of way' in this situation. Even if you are over the speed limit if someone comes up from behind you are supposed to move over to allow them to pass.

But I always have to remember that in the greater region around Mordor, people can't read their driver's manuals so they never learned that lesson.

Yup. Even if you are in middle lane you are failing to yield.
