    Not far from the tree
I have a big maple on my road side that constantly drops limbs and branches. I do not like maple trees. I want to cut it down but I'm pretty sure its roots are holding my hill in place.
Trees are just big wooden pets pooping in the yard. Difference between them and the dog is at least you know where to look for the tree crap.

Maples are constantly dropping crap. Red buds, then helicopter leaves, the pollin pod things, leaves, branches and they spray the vehicles with sap all summer long.

Maple trees got nuthin on Locus trees. I have both, and if it weren't for the shade, they'd all be gone. I am talking about the silver Maples. My one red (purple leafed) maple is a slow-growing treasure of a tree - very tidy.

The mask sheep are starting to comply more.....and stupidity is still in constant swing. I had to save a 4 apt unit from a middle aged, single white lady, who left a burner on her stove ON since roughly 0930AM!!!! The call came in close to 6PM!!! She filled the place on the one side pretty good....the black gal downstairs was worried when she could go back in and smoke her skunk weed.....the world is going to krap.....I just hope it doesn't take me with the leaking natural gas with burning skunk weed.....

Not picking on you Lee11b. It seems that we only hear from the anti-maskers.

While I don't like wearing a mask, I do like the extra layer of protection no matter how slight it may be.

Call me paranoid but I have avoided people as much as possible in stores for decades. If someone coughs or sneezes I head the other way and come back to that isle later. The result is I have not caught a cold, flu or other common illness in at least 3 decades.

I did get my first ever flu vaccine last year and will get one again this year. I got the covid vaccine as soon as it was available to me.

I do not wear a mask because I am told to, but because mask mandates or advisories make it possible for me to wear one without standing out as the only weirdo.

Y'all do you...I'll do me.

Lest I forget...morning all. Slept in until 10 to make up for some of todays early risers.

This is the important part that is causing the whole debate. If everyone was allowed to make their own decision without someone else trying to enforce their opinion, this would be no issue. The reason I say this is only our "leaders" enforcing this as a method of controlling us is how hypocritical they are. When you say they're necessary, but then are caught in public multiple times without them, it leads me to believe you're being dishonest and I'll just disregard what you're saying.

I think the mask are VASTLY overrated and significantly misused and misapplied. With that being said, I currently have my first cold or bug of any type since December of 2019.

So, anecdotally, all that masking, hand sanitizing and social distancing seems to have keep the few colds at bay that I usually get each year.

Its all about balance and, no matter what the issue, it seems we can't find balance these days when it comes to most anything. Kinda like the start of all this. Every small Mom and Pop retail business got shut down due to public health risk yet my entire Town could freely visit the grocery store. Stupid...

    FIFY.

Good to hear you recovery is on track Ben.

Prayers for all the sick CZickos.

I'm doing better with each day. I think that I could probably go out tomorrow and resume life again, but we will see. I got a lot more good rest last night, which I really needed.
Took my daughter about a week after full symptoms. She (two weeks after end of symptoms) still gets tired but feels fine.

Her boyfriend (should be future husband) only lost his sense of taste and smell and still has recovered them.
