This is more of a first world dilemma, but I suppose it’s essentially a problem. by wearing my watch within about 10 ft of my macbook I can unlock it without having to use the finger-print scanner. I mean you can imagine how inconvenient that is.
But, the computer has to have Bluetooth turned on. I use bluetooth headphones to do online meetings with teams. I use the same Sony 1000XM4 headphones to connect to my phone, simultaneously. So then it’s a problem when I’m not working because every time I get out of range with my headphones, the connection cuts on and off with my MacBook and it’s annoying.
All the ways to solve that has something that sucks. So the least suckage is to remember to turn the Bluetooth off on the MacBook when I’m done with work so that it’s not constantly trying to connect with the headphones. But then I have to use the fingerprint scanner to log in because the Watch has to be connected via Bluetooth.
I think I’m probably going to have to use some points from my Amazon card to buy a pair of air pods to use for the phone, and use the sony’s for meetings.
