I have always decried the confusion of mask efficacy b/c of the political element.
Even if it is of limited value, b/c of the wife, I have been diligent & take that limited option & mask up for her.
I took her to the emergency room just 2 weeks ago with heart pain & with her brittle diabetes & advanced age (she's 2 years older than me ), so she lives on the edge like many.

Went back to church since nearly everyone wears a mask (wife doesn't yet since a few don't & very large crowds).
last Monday evening we just started going back to a family Bible study (everyone had been Zooming) where only my wife & I are still wearing masks.
I just went back to a 6 am Old Men's Prayer breakfast last Tuesday.
Some of them (or family members) have had Covid & been hospitalized.
Note: They said my punishment for not having been there was I had to lead the devotionals for a month. :lmfao:

My professional Men's Friday 6 am Bible study where we have military, medical & business owners (12-20 guys) didn't wear masks last year since we were outside (I did for the wife, though), but when we went inside everyone masked up.
Masking will probably be coming to an end soon, but for the wife's peace of mind, I'll continue masking for her.
Yes, I do feel a little stupid sometimes, but I want the wife to have peace of mind over my looking stupid.

You'll be glad to know when the wife & I walk or bicycle, even she doesn't wear a mask. ;)

That, my friend, is the correct attitude.:yesway:

That's akin to saying, "if guns were effective, crime would have stopped long ago."
Don’t. Give. A. ****. You can take the masks and put them where ever you feel they will do the most good. I think you (intentionally) missed the point of that post which was we are tired of the ******** and no longer care. So if you take that message and then look at your post it looks like you’re just trolling for a reaction.

Trollish behaviors is always from a select few.

I figured Over because by then fauci and his chinese lab will have developed COVID-22 which will escape out of the lab into the world population when somebody accidentally eats a steaming pile of contaminated duck anuses. This will require masks for at least the next decade or two.

    It's a political bug because it's a banking bug.
Germany (and also France) want Russian hydrocarbons...

Oh, but will we mask or unmask?

That’s a convincing argument. Can I change my bet?

It appears that in spite of hundreds of documented cases streaming across the border in Arizona and Texas the States without mask mandates are doing better than the mandate States.

I have a theory about it.
I think the masks are a good idea for the sick, but I think they increase the odds of the healthy getting sick.
They're holding particles of the virus in close proximity to your nasal passages and mouth, and if you're handling the masks at all, you're getting it all over your hands.

It seems like it should be common sense, but I guess that's not a thing anymore.

Could be. I see people that wear masks and they are talking and the mask moves around, usually down, and they are constantly moving them back and playing with them. They could be more of a threat than without one.

A random question: when will this thread or its successors go 30 days without a new post?

I believe that will be mid year 2023, and hearby declare June 30th, 2023 to be the over under.

So will it be over or under?
Over. They have said it from the beginning, "We need to get used to the new normal." New normal means that the old normal isn't normal any longer.
