Oh well, as John Swinton put it in the 1880's, there's no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is out in a country town. And, that if reporters wrote their own opinions the piece wouldn't be printed and they'd be out of a job.

This is true, but it is also true that in the 1880's you had competing, and often conflicting, newspaper publishers who had their own agendas. After that came the myth of objectivity, which most media outlets still profess while signally failing to actually do. Eventually this developed into the present situation where all the major news outlets other than Fox read from the same script, and Fox only deviates far enough to stir the pot for ratings without digging into anything of substance.

near Bedford on a whole lot of land.
I’ve done about three hundred interviews in my time for a variety of media, all over the world. I’ve given reporters sheets of facts printed out for them to use and watched them get most of them wrong, even though there was no political agenda in the story.

My favorite interviews are live because they can’t twist my words. I fully expect any recorded or written interviews I do to be distorted.

No wonder they call you guys sheep, don't have any kahoonas to stand up and tell us why you believe the media you post? Just disgusting that members of a gun forum are so weak they cannot verbally back up what they believe.

Not one of those that regularly post the mockingbird MSM propaganda on politics, covid, (sorry to be redundant) was willing to explain why they believe them.

BTW I am skeptical of all media. Been burned by conservative media too, and just posting does not mean you believe it but it does if you post it to defend a position. Many here will not believe something unless they see it in the MSM...

So back it up, tell us why you believe them...
