We have the same conversation each year. "Honey I know you always send me flowers for V day but I'd prefer you make an extra principal payment on the house". This usually occurs the day before.

Lord help me if she doesn't receive the flowers.

You see I have figured it out; it's not about me sending her flowers, it's about her receiving the flowers. At Work. In front of her co-workers and girlfriends.

I ordered expensive jewelry, as a Valentine gift, for my wife from a company and they sent ammo instead.

She is very upset at this fraud and that I cannot seem to reach customer service to correct this injustice. LOL
    Genius, pure genius!!!

But dear, the company went out of business just after they shipped this... err... mistake...

Same thing every year. Card and Reeses. I put them in one of the safes that has one of her pistols in it.

I figure if her other boyfriend sends her flowers, why should I? Who needs 2 sets of flowers?
One day I came home early from work and caught my wife with the FedEx guy.
To add insult to injury, she begged me not to tell the mail man.

My wife and I were trying to quit smoking so we agreed we'd only smoke after sex.
I've been on the same pack since 2003. She's up to three packs a day.

I get no respect, I tell ya. No respect at all.

    Lmfao. That’s funny.

I do have a true story similar to this... kinda. Friend of mine from work got hurt at work so went to the clinic to get stitches. Went home after he left the clinic and caught his wife with their kids baseball coach. He said he wondered how his kid was a starter, he sucked at baseball

You know the tell from this post, and those that liked it, is that you must be on the losing end of the scam. I have always been quite happy with the results of the valentines scam... LOL
I’m glad you get it right one day a year when Hallmark tells you how to appreciate your loved one(s). That’s a little telling as well. Some folks appreciate having their loved ones express it daily without the need of commercialism. But kudos to you for your happy results in one day a year. Missed opportunities abound 364 other days a year. LOL

We go to the local Hallmark shop and read the Valentine cards together, then we go out for dinner Dutch treat. We'll prolly skip 'dinner' this year.

This is how CKW and I roll.
Even on the worst days life hands out we show some appreciation for the efforts of the other. Hallmark or not. The terrorists (avatar) "B" day is on the 13th so that other day is pretty much a moot point but brother I love the thread title.

My Wife and I agreed to make love one time a year on Valentine’s Day , even if we didn’t want to . Unless one of us is out of town. She left 2 days ago to see her sister. winner winner ! Happy Valentine’s Day to us. :)

I enjoy all 365 days, if people don't they are not doing it right, but Valentine's Day is just a day to up the efforts...

    Enjoy...
