How'd that work out for Hong Kong?

You think the outcome would’ve been any different if the people of Hong Kong had guns? Even if they did, do you think that would give China pause? The best way to ensure your rights, and to mobilize people to protect or take them back, is a the point of a pen. That’s my opinion anyways.

If this was objectively true, war would never happen. The military industrial complex would focus on writing novels and not building planes/ships.

Why build an aircraft carrier when one book is more powerful? It's because it isn't.

Maybe among the civilized with equal levels of warm hearted intentions it applies, but that's an awfully narrow scope, and absolutely not applicable to anywhere today especially not the US.

One example among many. The Second protects the rest.

Like in Iraq? Somalia? Revolutionary France? Imperial Russia? Those people all had access to weapons, and in great numbers, and yet ideas let to the oppression of millions within those borders? Having a gun in your hand doesn’t amount to a hill of beans, if you don’t know why you’re holding it.

Looks like they managed to cripple a global super power for a fraction of a penny to every million dollars we spent, dragging us on a 20 year war that went nowhere.

The reason Japan never invaded the US after pearl Harbor is because almost every citizen is armed and they would of met resistance soon as the stepped foot on US soil before the military ever got there. That's the 2A for ya !!!

Makes it easy to understand why MAGA hat wearers are attacked.
:n00b: Dude. Seriously? That actually isn’t the context present for any of the attacks on maga hat wearers. The media has convinced progressive America that Maga hat wearers are fascists, racists, and literally Hitler.

On the hatred, I have tried it and never found it to be of any value when directed towards other people.

Raised to hate Russians because they were all communists. Found in Greeks and Russians a wonderful expression of Christianity that I now call home after being mentored by....Greeks and Russians.

Ever been helped by a public servant or good Samaritan? Ever been one? If they had a Biden hat on would you pass them by? Do you inquire of people you help what their political perspective is so you can deny aid to the enemy?

I think you are speaking in hyperbole.

Makes it easy to understand why MAGA hat wearers are attacked.

    1. No.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes.
    4. No. I only help people I know anymore.

I'm not speaking in hyperbole at all. I mean every word I said absolutely literally.

Anyone who wants to attack me can come right on ahead and we'll see how it works out.

This has nothing to do with Maga hats or Trump. This has to do with people using their vote to say they wish I was dead, my wife was a widow, and my children grew up without me.

I think you are misunderstanding. The “pen,” is what convinces you to possibly pick up the “sword,” ie diplomacy. You should always reach for the pen first, and then the sword if need be. This works as equally well for tyrants as it does for just rulers. Rarely are governments replaced solely based on force of arms. An idea needed to be present. For a historical perspective, Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense,” swayed more than a few colonists to support Independence.... hence why even today it is spoken of in high regard.

Then both are of equal levels of importance.
Knowledge without the ability to do anything with it is misery.

Actually that’s incorrect. The Japanese never intended to invade the United States. They wanted to buy time to consolidate their power in Asian, and have a position so strong, it would be a strong deterrent to a Massive US response. And technically, the Japanese did set foot on US soil during WW2 (Alaska). Occupied part of the Aleutians for about a year (just a fun fact).

So are you in agreement with the J bombetti position in the post to which I responded? He has stated or at least insinuated here and in another thread killing based on how someone casts their could be justified. If that position is held by those on the right, what would be an equal and opposite reaction by those on the left?

First can we agree that there has always existed, an ignorance amongst our fellow countrymen who wish to take away our rights? If so, we oppose their intentions and try to bring them knowledge. If we start off with a war-like footing, by calling them “enemies,” we’ll only get them to bury their heads even further. Remember, the current idea of how we see the 2A, is honestly not even that old... we’ve had much longer heritage of being “ok,” with 2A restrictions than the other way around. Time, society, and knowledge is on our side.

You really made that statement with a straight face after the last 4 years?
