Guy walks into a Gebo's store and pointed a gun at clerks and customers. "Shots were fired" and robber ended up with multiple perforations. Story doesn't actually say anyone shot him, so I suppose there's a slim chance he somehow shot himself several times, but I suspect a "well done" should be directed to someone else.


He lived, is in hospital facing aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, and felon-in-possession charges.

He obviously had dirt on Hillary, he WILL succumb to his wounds in the hospital.

Six teenagers, some under 18, at least two 18 yo, come up with a plot to steal weed from some guy.

One of the teens, 17 yo girl, calls the guy and offers him nookie for weed. He's supposed to come to her house late at night, go to her bedroom window, and bring 1.5 oz of weed (is that a lot? I really don't know). The other rocket scientists will grab the guy, restrain him and strip him of his clothes (dunno why) and steal his weed and money. The girl was supposed to get the lion's share of the weed.

On the appointed night three of the teens drop off the other two male teens, but then get cold feet and drive off down the road. They don't call the cops, they don't warn the guy, they just drive down the road and park.

The guy shows as scheduled and is talking to the girl through the bedroom window when he realizes the two male teens are coming up behind him, one armed with a bat and the other with a gun. Batboy rushes the guy who pulls his own gun and shoots batboy twice, killing him. He also shoots the teen with the gun, wounding him severely. He later recovered. The other three down the road hear the gunshots, not sure what they did next. I think they boogied.

Prosecutor charged the five surviving teens with murder, among other things, and sought to try the underage ones as adults. The judge approved trying two of them as adults, the third pled guilty to manslaughter in juvenile court, which buys him four years in juvie jail and star witness status in future trials. The wounded one's (16 yo with a gun) grandmother says he's really a good boy, just had some tough times.

And the joke is on the teens: the intended victim of the scheme did not bring any weed or money, apparently he was just going to chat up the girl. Prosecutor filed no charges against him as he fired in self-defense.

Well, I guess I was right.

I thought about why in my minds eye I saw a bunch of teen white kids. I think it may be because of how stupid I was when I was closing in on the majority and the other stupid guys and gals that that I hung with.

I could see us doing something nearly that dumb. we probably would not have, but I can see us thinking about it.

Thank Heaven, we never thought of it.

Four robbers point guns at 77 yo gun store owner, start stealing 50 guns. Owner fakes heart attack, uses ruse to get a gun and wound one of the robbers. The other three get away with the guns but the wounded one is in police custody, hopefully that makes it easier to find his buddies quickly.

According to the woman this guy had earlier threatened to start a fire on her property. She, armed with a handgun, found him on her property with matches in his hand, marched him off the property and made him lie in the road until police or deputies arrived and arrested him.

In Texas your belief that the deadly force is immediately necessary is presumed to be reasonable if someone unlawfully and with force enters, or is attempting to enter unlawfully and with force your occupied habitation, vehicle, or place of business or employment. "Force" can be as little as opening an unlocked door or window.

Opening the door and jumping into the driver's seat next to the vehicle owner's wife would seem to qualify for getting shot.
