Per aunt of one of the residents, two guys dressed as gas company employees "or something similar" started kicking the front door of the house. Niece opened the door a bit to see who was there, men forced their way in, niece screamed for help. Male room mate came up with a gun, at least one of the intruders was armed, gunfight, both intruders ended up on front lawn dead.

Man getting into truck at strip mall at noon confronted by two "teen" robbers, at least one with a gun. Man takes gun and shoots both robbers, killing one. Other one flees but is picked up later and taken to hospital for his wounds.

It appears the same location was the site of a capital murder during a robbery in May 2020. Police looking for two suspects who left in an SUV. Stories say "retail complex" in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route, same description as the incident quoted.

I didn't know the word "mezzaluna" existed before I read this.


Three guys with a crowbar invade Pizza Hut to rob it. One guy goes into the kitchen and assaults a female employee who is holding a "mezzaluna-type pizza cutter" (basically a sword-size knife with a big curved belly and a handle on each end), dragging the employee and the cutter to the floor. Another female picks up the knife, the robber tries to grab it, she dodges and cocks her arm back as if to chop and ends up chasing all three robbers out of the store.


Good on her.


Police looking to charge the robbers with aggravated robbery when they find them.

Some guy shows up outside apartment building at 0145 to meet a woman he met through a dating app. OK.

Two male teens with an AR-15 try to rob him. He shoots one of the teens (presumably the one with the AR-15). His handgun jams, he leaves scene, drives to gas station, and calls police. Police arrive at scene of shooting and find a broken plastic AR-15 toy/replica "...and other evidence" and a male teen performing CPR on a dead 17 year old. The URL says "accomplice not cooperating" but this does not appear in the story text or video.
