Minneapolis city council votes to abolish police force. Voters will have the final say come November.

    https://currently.att.yahoo.com/att...cil-votes-abolish-police-force-154501338.html

Let's put our thinking caps on for a moment. :tinfoil: There. Better.

I don't know if it's just a twisted form of serendipity, or if it's thought out to be this way. But I can't help but think about how remaking the police as a social justice force would help move the cultural revolution's progress along quicker. For example. I'd wager that in most jurisdictions the cops mostly lean a bit to the right. They're generally pro-gun. They're generally in favor of having armed citizens. That's a problem if you want to confiscate guns. Many have said they flat out won't participate in that. That's just one convenience for the left if they could replace those cops with their kind of "peace keepers". Think about what kind of "law enforcement" would best suit bat **** crazy leftists. That's what we'll have.

I started thinking about that the other day when I watched Mike the Cop's "why I'm no longer a cop" video. He's a strong 2A supporter. Lot's of cops are quitting for much the same reason as Mike. The risk calculation no longer makes sense when department heads become political and throw them under the bus for performing their duties the way they're trained to do. I get why he quit. I can't say I blame him. And it's too bad that it's going to take 2A supporting non-bat-****-crazy police officers out of play.

It just seems too convenient not to have been at least thought about. Start a campaign to tear down the current institution of law enforcement. Alienate them from their departments and make them think it's no longer worth it. Replace the current law enforcement institution with a new, far left radicalized version. This is how our police force turns into the same kind of social justice ninnies the Brits have.

I ain't saying it was planned. But it is worth noting how convenient it is that 2A defending police officers are quitting in many jurisdictions.

Basically yes. There are actually two charts there. The first is total violent crime and the second is per capita violent crime.

Trump has done this repeatedly. State a "fact" that isn't quite true. The media "fact checks" him and declares if false. Meanwhile, it is obvious that he was far more correct than incorrect and the media has both provided the evidence and amplified the message. They still fall for it years later.

Think about it this way. What MSM outlets would have displayed those charts before Trump talked about it? He effectively forced the media to document the high correlation between Democrat governance and violent crime areas.

I read that Indianapolis was 12th in violent crime per 100,000 residents.
Why are they not on the chart?

It shouldn't be hard to figure out, but it would be helpful to know where you read it and what was their source. The WaPo listed their data source above. Your article may have used different data.

This is about one word taken more literally than intended. Trump speaks in colloquial language. It’s like when your wife says “you never...” whatever. Well. She doesn’t mean you literally never do the whatever. She means you don’t do it always. It’s imprecise, yes. But, for practical purposes, the cities with the highest crime are led by Democratic Mayors. If the cact checkers were honest they’d rate it as mostly true.

If a school was giving kids a basic education, we wouldn't be having a constitutional crisis every other day. The whole purpose for public school, initially, was to teach kids about civics and the constitution, to give them the necessary foundation to inherit and protect the republic.
If we move back to that, then sure I'd understand the perspective. But so long as we're teaching kids about how our country is founded on white supremacy, that they can have a penis and be a woman, and how to have safe anal sex... I don't believe it serves any benefit to the greater public. It's just a radical leftist propganda outlet.

I don't think that reading, writing and arithmetic are radical leftist propaganda. But that's just me.

And if you have even the slightest inkling of U.S. history, I doubt that you'd say that a constitutional crisis every other day is a recent phenomena. Seems to me that it's a feature, not a bug.

Sorry about the donkey shows that are apparently a part of the curriculum in your local elementary school. Would it help if they said the Pledge of Allegiance first and played the national anthem in the background?

Serious question.....Do you have any kids in school at this time.
I have reasons to ask and your answer will give way to some solid discussion.

Nope. I haven't had a kid in school since the class of 2012. And another in the class of 2008. Neither are flaming communists. A bit left-leaning socially, but more in the "live and let live" attitude and not the SJW warrior attitude. They both see the current BLM farce for what it is. And while neither share my strong interest in firearms, both of them have familiarity with them and recognize their value as defensive tools.

THIS is what they hoped you would read and nothing more. Drive by media. They spin headlines far off of fact for effect. Then in the body MAYBE tell a bit more truth and walk it back closer to reality. But usually not all the way.

And its a win-win. If you dont click the link you fall for their lie. If you DO click the link you fall for most of the lie AND they get ad revenue from your click.

I bet they hoped that social media types would read that article and take that lie as fact, and move on. MAYBE if they clicked the link and read the article, they might catch on. Or they might say "I dont see it, but Im not that smart. So since they are smarter than me, I just must not be reading it right. I'll just have to take their word for it.

Notice the top 3 in that chart. New York. Los Angeles. Chicago. All heavy gun control areas. Leading the country in violent crime.

I know... it’s trumps fault. If only a democrat was running the country, those utopias would prosper.

Video of a St. Louis couple coming out of their house, man with a rifle, telling protesters to **** off.

One of the biggest replies to that?

Someone identify these people. I don't know the area. Get an address. I'll help.

Sue them, ruin their businesses, help their employees sabotage their capital, call their kids, call their family members, call their country club— use capitalism for the weapon it's designed to be.

Also, if you have Twitter, that tweet should be reported. People have been banned for less.

Trust when I say things have changed a lot since your kids got out. I have 3 Grand daughters that I am very active in their schooling as in taking them and picking up when needed. The terrorists in my avatar are 2nd grade (if we can get passed this insidious beer virus stupidity) and the 12 year old will be 7th. The conversations we have are beyond interesting. Especially the 13 year old. We have had to get involved in some more critical issues with the admins at the schools and brother those are some lost balls.
No they are not generating communist's as a main curriculum but politics is an everyday thing. And Orange man bad.

My granddaughter had one of her teachers brainwashing her into being a vegetarian. Out of the blue one day she says she isn't eating meat anymore. I ask her where that came from. After some insistence on my part, she finally fessed up. This was a teacher that was supposed to be preparing the kids for the magic all important test.

    It lasted about a month.

this is the big story of tonight. I hate to frame it this way, but I don't have the time or effort to keep updating it on a phpbb forum. It's far too cumbersome compared to the alternatives.

So, now you know, this is ever-evolving. STL couple defending their home, media demonizing them, that's where I'll leave it here.

Well, to be fair, I'm in Franklin By-God Township, the last bastion of civilization in Marion County.
