Seeing these MIC Saiga semi-auto shotguns for sale around 4 bills. I foresee in the future these sitting in closets everywhere needing parts that nobody will be able to come by. What's your thoughts on these?

I have a Catamount Fury II that I bought back in 2016. It is a Chinese made 12g Semi-Auto. I also purchased a "reliability kit" (which says SOMETHING about the gun that comes from the factory) for like $50. I can honestly say that it has shot about any load I have put through it without issue. So long as you keep it lubed and cleaned, they run good. For $399 + $50 reliability kit, the Catamount was a great deal IMHO.

Now that I think about it, its kind of like the chinese made quad I bought my kid a couple years back. Little 125cc. Not high quality, but so long as you change the oil every 12 running hours and clean out the carbs in fall and spring, they run good. My kids has put hundred of hours in on that thing. For $600 it was a great deal.

Well guys ... Just asking a question. I'm not in store for one but a friend of mine is looking at one. Tried to talk him out of it and told him to by a Mossberg Shockwave. This is my defensive shotgun in my home. My S-wave with mini-shells and the ejector insert holds a lot of power

Many years ago I took a Chinese Model 97 as part of a trade, still have that gun and it still shoots just fine. I don't like the chinese either, but some of their stuff isn't bad.

That's odd. I have a Catamount 12 gauge (the $200 Lynxx model). It says “Made in Turkey “ on it. I've had it for a few years now. Never a hiccup.

Rkguns has them for $399 too, they take Saiga magazines.

Not interested, I had a Saiga; box fed shotguns are impractical. I’d rather have ten rounds in a tube, then 10 rounds hanging a foot out of the bottom of the gun.
