I've been here a few days and I wouldn't mind paying for it now, but that's after engaging with the forums. If you were made to pay outright it really would turn the forums into a booth to shout ads from. No one would have an interest in seeing the forum succeed beyond selling and buying. All this knowledge would be lost on newcomers not made to look over things before posting. I found a lot more useful here than I thought I would to be entirely forward. I thought it was going to be a drudge to get to 50, but it's actually rather addicting once you've started. My .

And yes many do not. But at what cost that growth.
Until you set in this chair it is hard to understand. Heck man I got dinged when I was new here. From a friend. I needed 11 more posts to use the classifieds and did it wrong. There are solid reasons for this believe it or not.
And the ramifications of being a gunbroker/armslist based forum is not what the site owners want. The insanity that ensued from the Sandy Hook influx is still effecting how the forum is ran. So much that is not shared in open forum. Fenway had enough of talking to men in Black with ear wigs.
