It's funny they blocked Blue Lives on Twitter. Guess they really don't want anyone's money or business! I know they won't have mine.

IMO, past about :27 - :28, that was excessive... he dead so that part didn't matter... more about unnecessary lead downrange in a populated area.

Still not a wise marketing move to voice such an opinion. Nor to "alien"-ate cops on twitter by blocking them when they call you out.

I think the post was reasonable. Are we protesting reasonable now or is any questioning strictly verboten?

It isn't an anti-police post. If your answer is "yes" fine, but a protest due to a question?

The snowflake mentality is found in some of the weirdest places.

It seems strange that they are posting now after 3 years. Did they dig that up to comment on? Or did they just come across it on You Tube?

YouTube video was recently posted... but the text below the publish date indicates it was a 2014 shooting.

    Published on Jul 25, 2017

WARNING, GRAPHIC FOOTAGE: Dashboard camera footage shows the March 2014 police-involved shooting death of Williamstown resident Antoquan Watson man in Atlantic City.

ETA: From news story hits on Google, the video was only recently released days ago.

That post was really dumb on Alien Gear's part. They should know their market better than that. However, for a dumbass civilian, it does seem like they could've stopped shooting once he went down. That being said, i cant imagine the stress and adrenaline levels in that situation. Police are humans and it'd be hard for most humans to simply stop shooting. (It's not like the extra rounds killed him a second time)

I didn't really take the post as anti-cop. It's more like. Damn, how many rounds does it take? If it was 36, I would have made a Clerks joke and chimed in 37 rounds

They should have just shot the gun out of his hand or had someone whack him over the head with a chair like in the cowboy movies.

Aliengear did just exit my list of holster options.

I didn't even read whatever has, people so upset. Their holsters is all I judge them by and they constantly fail and fail. On those facts alone I won't support them.
I believe everyone should be entitled to their opinion however you will be judged on them by private friends, and family if you are an individual and even further if you own a business by customers and potential customers. In the gun business we all seem to really gravitate to companies that we share similar values and opinions with. The law enforcement community is a big part of the firearms industry (and I hope the trend of cops supporting civilians 2nd amendment rights grows and continues always). If you talk smack or it's perceived you have, about someone in this community then prepare for fallout. You still can have your opinion

From what I hear they are junk any way.

I've actually never heard that. I have one, so I might be biased, but they seem comfortable and reliable. I don't have any complaints. But then again, it's for my relatively lightweight G43, and it's my first AG holster. My personal preference is Galco.

I used to think they were great until I experienced a failure and did more.research and found out it's a widespread issue because they use bad materials

The article says that there were SEVEN officers firing their weapons, so, that is LESS than seven rounds fired per officer. It's not like one officer fired 49 rounds.

45 hits. Over 60 rounds fired.

I was a little irked by the rounds hitting the pavement 10' in front of the lying down target. At that point there is no excuse for missing that bad.

Evidently the employee at Aliengear thinks there are "hit counters" that talley up how many times the bad guy has been struck and how severe the hits are. Maybe she needs to play a few less video games and Aliengear needs to be more careful who they allow access to their FB page.

To be fair to the Officers while he was laying on the ground he still had the gun in his hand and was said to be trying to lift it. You can't see it all in the video. He was high on PCP which is a drug that makes people very hard to take down by any means. Unless you have dealt with someone on it you truly have no idea. They believe they are invincible and their bodies respond accordingly.

Alien gear has never done anything for me personally so I have never bought a holster from them.

I am positive that if most people on this site encountered a self defense situation and they shot the bad guy and he was still attempting to raise his gun to shoot at you that most would fire at him again to stop the threat. Just my opinion I guess
