This "man" (I use that term loosely) is not a Muslim. He is a peice of s***. No real Muslim would do this. Im sick of these idiots (cowards who claim to be Muslim, but are not) doing crap like this and futhering hate and disconnect towards the Islamic community. He will go to hell for this and any true Muslim believes that.

I'm curious. On what basis are you determining who is a "real Muslim"? Violent Muslims have plenty of historical and scriptural examples to pattern after.

Why, at this point in history, does Islam seem to have a more widespread problem with people misinterpreting its teachings than other religions?

I'll admit I know little about Islam BUT...maybe many have difficulty believing that a religion can condone this type of violence.
Every time something like this happens I dive deeper into the rabbit hole in believing this isn't even a religion they're following. That's by my definition and understanding of a religion only.

WOW didn't take Obama long to spin this into anti-gun (assault weapon) message. The gun made them do it.

Politicians have these talk tracks prepared for just such an event. Lather-Rinse-Repeat

Im basing it on the fact that the Quran makes it clear that killing without being attacked or endangered is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, it is an even greater sin during the Holy month of Ramadan. Anyone can call themselves a member of a group...but their actions really determine where their allegence is. I dont disagree that there is a problem with interuptation and violence in Islam, but there are around 1.6 Billion Muslims in this world so there are a great majority that are great peopls. If all 1
6 Billion where terrorist everyone would be dead.

The Quran is not the only Muslim holy book. If memory serves there are two others and it's those that pose the biggest problem in terms of inciting violence.

As far as violence go, you may be right. But I'd wager that Christians misinterpret/ignore Christian teachings just as often.
