"The attack has been condemned by French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuv, who called it “an attack of barbaric violence”" ---- obama later came out and agreed wholeheartedly with the French Minister and said he would immediately arrest and imprison the 3 American men as soon as they step foot in the US. He will be charging them with a hate crime against a peaceful muslim.

Funny because you would almost expect it in obamas America.

I kind of wondered about that. I read that they took the handgun away from him and threw it to the side; I think I probably would have shot him with it. Maybe they thought they could overpower him handily enough, but a round through the ball of the humerus would take the fight out of a guy.

Just as long as he's still breathin' for the interrogators

Firing a gun on a crowded train isn't generally a great thing.

So, now it was a train robbery and not a terrorist incident. I guess it's plausible, just seems more than a bit unlikely. Folks don't normally leave AK's and pistols laying about in Belgium.

Yeah you don't need nine AK mags to rob a train. One empty handgun is more than enough unless you plan on shooting lots of people.
And I have been to Belgium quite a few times and never found free guns in parks.
I must go to the wrong parks. :dunno:

Also a fourth one, a French train driver, grabbed the suspect.
A British citizen also helped plus from what I understand a fourth American (a dual French and American national) who was shot during the fight.

All those 6 passengers will meet the French president on Monday.

Tried to Rep., you but I can't .....

Please post about the meeting, if you can .....

    I will.
Not sure if they will got a medal or not.
Some people asked for them to become knights of the Legion of Honor.
They already got a medal from the city where the train stopped for act of bravery.

I also heard that the first person who saw the shooter was a French passenger but not many articles talk about him and he wished to remain anonymous.
He jumped on the shooter and tried to take his gun away. It's when a few shots where fired.
Then the 3 young Americans came to help and finally got the shooter down.

Well it's official now.The 3 Americans will become knights of the Legion of Honor on Monday.:rockwoot:

The wounded French-American national who was wounded will get the medal later and so is the Frenchman who wished to remain anonymous.

It's quite rare for foreign nationals to get the Legion of Honor especially as civilians.
I know two of the three are military but they acted as civilians here.I think so anyway. :dunno:
The very few foreigners who get it are usually WW2 vets who fought in France.
