I don't know if it's just me but a lot of my friends and people I have talked with would rather put something on layaway than buy outright especially since gun store now have a healthy supply of AR's. I know I was pretty close to putting a m&p10 on layaway at indy trading post. Lucky for the fiancé she was with me that day to stop me lol. Try offering a payment plan more people might be interested of course I'm kidding though

I agree about layaway. It has allowed me to purchase some things I otherwise could not have afforded l at once. It also has fueled my buying impulse on several occasions.

I've had my Saiga-12 package up on three different boards for a few weeks now, and no bites. The market does appear to be rather soft at the moment. Definitely seeing our normal sales slump going into summer on the retail side, as well.

I see some pricing coming back into a rational level. Still some folks asking way too much for used guns. They possibly paid to much during the scare. In this day of internet a simple search puts you on point with what the market is doing. AR's reasonably priced.
There have been some fair deals lately and I have taken a few of them.

Yep afew good deals for sure and some fair deals but NOTHING like it used to be. The selection of what's for sale sucks now. I think most people are keeping their guns or at least the best ones.
One example is there use to be a new 'tactical' 870 on here every other day, not anymore. Also AK's are drying up. I think a lot of people overpaid and know they will be laughed at if they list their guns for what they paid. Many Others are hoping there will be another gun scare and are stockpiling to take advantage of it.
Ive had fun building and piecing some together myself. "Frankenbuulds" with GOOD parts! AR's are cheap and now is the time to buy buy buy!

Yes, it is a buyers market.
AllenM has a 1911 posted for a more than fair price. I have seen and checked out that gun. I would buy it if the funds were available for that.

1911's are everywhere. Even Davidson's has Colt Government Models and Springfield Mil-Spec Models listed regularly. I haven't seen that in years. It's a bad economy for everything. The first place most people hold back is the buying of toys and recreational items. And let's face it, most AR-15's are overpriced for what they are anyway.....A bolt together rifle that can be assembled by most anyone on a kitchen table with minimal tools and knowledge, without any fitting of components. And those components are available most everywhere at good prices for the hobbyist, and even better prices for the manufacturer who buys in bulk by the hundreds, if not thousands of parts per PO.

" would jump on this with the tax returns coming in" Anybody getting a refund most likely filed the first week in February. I've noticed some real fair Deals just sitting on other sites as well.

AR's are a dime a dozen, easily found in stores and online. So it's not like they are a rare item. The Gas Piston guns are fine, but a non piston works as well for 99% of users and are considerably less expensive. New and used. Glad you got your rifle sold though. Like everyone states. There's not a lot of free cash floating around for most people these days.

there are some amazing deals on pistol AK's at the moment. I'm buying a yugo m85 tmw for $400 and 20 steel mags for $99. New is the way to go right now. Anything used is 150% over what it should be given the "new" market.
