2 IMPD officers killed

Two IMPD officers are dead following a SWAT situation on the west side of Indianapolis.


There are few details about the deaths or why SWAT was requested, but IMPD is calling the situation "very sensitive."


The IMPD SWAT team was requested to a home in the 2400 block of Inishmore Court around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. That location is near W. 21st Street and Country Club Road.


This story will be updated as information becomes available. City leaders will hold a press conference to address the situation later Thursday evening.

I heard about the murder suicide and pondered to a friend if they were both IMPD officers, just joking then found that out. I do hope there were no kids.
