I scored CFE 223, H355, and accurate 7 for $24/lb. from the guy who had some Dillon Reloading components. He was the only one with Dillon stuff that I saw. Found BL-C(2) and Benchmark, but passes as it was $30/lb. got CCI small rifle primers for $29/1000 from another both. Also picked up an AR-15 brass catcher. Hopefully now I wont loose that brass that kicks forward of the yellow line anymore ;)

saw a couple of good deals on ammo, but not much (gander had better prices than most of the 9mm and 223 that I saw, which is bad) Almost picked up a spam can for the Mosin for $105/440.Haven't seen it that low in months.

Overall, this show wasn't as busy as shows in the past

Very true, the isles were open, it wasn't crowded and there were no lines.

I kind of wonder if that is because the 1500 is starting to get a repetition for not having good deals. I mean it is pretty sad when I can go to Gander Mountain and pick up ammo cheaper than what I can the at the 1500. Of course there are a few vendors that have a good deal. I saw a WASR AK for $1200 today, and Im like "really". I bet that thing sits there the whole weekend.

Hi Roland, I'm not sure what you mean but I want to make clear I am NOT knocking the 1500 or any gun shows for that matter. The show was great (hey, I stayed there for over 4+ hours). I was just disappointed in the prices. I know they need to make money, but c'mon...with smartphones and easy access to check prices, I wouldn't mind paying a little over but fool me twice...

I'm not into reloads, antiques, jewelry, collectibles, used stuff, clothing, knives (but I did like looking at them :):), memorabilia, private collections, etc. I just want to see new in box beautiful guns!

Someone mentioned the Johnson safe and I have to say, those safes has got to be one of the best things I've seen. Talk about solid! I wish I could afford one let alone have space for one.

Don't give up on the 1500 just yet! In my opinion prices are still on their way down from the buying frenzy post-Sandy Hook. I remember last October entry-level AR15s going for $650-$800. Yesterday, most AR15s seemed to be in the $850-$1100 range. Yes, here and there you might something lower than $850 but it wasn't common like one year ago. As for the ammunition, yesterday was not the day to be buying unless you really wanted it. Only one vendor(that I can recall) had ammo by the case. American Eagle .223 55g was selling for $600/1000rds!

Last October with pre-Sandy Hook pricing, that same vendor was selling the same ammunition for either $300 or $330 per 1000 rds! Plus, there were several vendors that had pallets of cases for sale. I also remember people last October pulling dollies around for their ammo purchases. There was none of that yesterday.

Barring another buying frenzy, in my opinion it is going to take till the shows in March or June of next year for prices to get close to October of 2012.

INGO long sleeved shirt, I <3 Guns sticker, 3 flashey safety lights for when I run at dusk. 3 knives sharpened. My son and his friend both bought M-9 bayonets. Saw that prices are starting to come down on ammo, still not where I will buy, but closer. Saw boxes of 500 .22 for $40, same boxes were $60 at another table. Saw 5.56 for $.37/rd

Today ended the journey of building a deer legal AR. Found a 20" 450 Bushmaster upper, got a Vortex Diamondback and some ammo to go with it. Also got a "Don't tread on me" INGO shirt. All in all not a bad day.

8lb. jugs of Ackawrit 5 and 7. Primers. Books. Repro stocks for an old Smith & Wesson. A bunch of Glock M17 mags for a great price. Some 7.5Swiss ammo (since I don't want to that THAT GUY with a bunch of K31s but no ammo). New sights for a couple of old Glock M17s. And I dropped off a couple of ARs for work.

Great show. I got to see Brad of Brad's knives, bunch of old friends, and the crew at INGO. And, with INGO's help, I gave away a gun.:D

    Productive day.

I saw a basic DPMS for $589.00 at the north end of the south building. I also saw multiple AR's at $600.00 to $649.00 in the North building. Ammo wasn't a bargain, but prices are definately down from a few months ago. Parking sucked due to a big family show in the Marsh building, but the free shuttles were running smoother than in the past probsably due to the lower gun show attendance. It was much easier to move around and see what was on the tables. I got a very reasonable price on a Rossi Model 92 45LC case hardened 24" Octagon barrel lever action from T&J Sporting Goods from Gerogetown IN in the NW corner of the north building. He had 2 and a good supply of other calibers in case hardened, blued and stainless though the stainless models were going fast. I saw more Rossi's, Henry's and Winchester's than I have seen in a long time including dozens in 45LC. I saw several of the new Ruger 1911's and even one of the new Ruger AR style 22's that use the 10/22 magazines. I talked to Jeff Johnson and he had a blue safe like the one I purchased from him last year. He said he upped his production and is scheduling in March now, but sales have been good at this show so he may be into April soon. Alll in all one of the more pleasant shows I have been to in the last year.

Only ended up with some great conversation from the INGO guys and a Glock magazine. I wasn't finding awesome prices on anything that pushed me over the edge to buy.

got a set of the custom ear plugs made. and a dozen CR123 StreamLight batteries. Didn't find that powder that I was looking for (Reloader 10X)

While I wasn't really wanting to spend much at this show. I did find something that I will have to save up now for the the next show. :)
