Been waiting for this gun since I fondled one at the NRA Convention...

    It's finally here!
One sold on Gunbroker for $750 to somebody who must have really wanted one bad.
    MSRP is $429.99-ish

This is the best feeling compact 9mm pistol I've ever handled.
    Can't wait to get one!

Super easy to rack slide. This one will be a big hit with the ladies.

Benefits of Walther SOFTCOIL ™ Technology

It allows the slide to be easily manipulated to chamber a round.
Barrel rise is reduced up to one third less than similar pistols.
Decrease barrel rise helps you remain focused to accurately hit your target shot after shot.

Sounds really useful. I'd really like to see some reviews, but if they're as good as the gun is being described it'll definitely be worth it to check it out.

I handled one of these at the Indy NRA convention and it feels like a small single stack Walther PPQ.
Very ergonomic grip and easy to use controls.
It's about the size of a S&W Shield, maybe a smidge bigger.

It would be cool if they came out with a full size/double stack version with the same gas system.
If the CCP is successful enough, maybe they will.

Here's a pretty good video that shows a breakdown of an actual CCP - not an animation.

I just talked to ZX Guns and they don't have any yet, but said they will retail price them for $409.95

Someone maybe ought to tell Walther that hooked trigger guards went out of fashion about 25 years ago. That trigger guard looks like it will probably snag on everything around. I also have to wonder how often that "gas system" will need cleaning.

It looks very ergonomic, but with identical width and nearly same overall length specifications of a Springfield XDm Compact 9mm you would think they could get more rounds in that CCP. It's short five rounds compared to the XDm and is the same size?

I really want to shoot one of these.

Also - this has been marketed as a very good solution to those without the ability to rack a traditionally sprung pistol - because it's not traditionally sprung.

If you want one, get it fast.
the guys at the Walther form said there were only a few hundred released but there should be more coming in a month.
That "should be" statement has me thinking... The CCP was supposed to be available in May or June, then maybe July, then maybe September, then maybe December....

That goes for you as well. Might not make sense to wait for the Indy 1500...

I really wanted one of these at first glance, but then I found out they are not lefty friendly at all. No manual safety on the right side and no trigger safety so I cant just leave it off it seems. Will wait for reviews, but it seems I'll get a shield or xds over this specific Walther.
