In another thread we discussed how culture can be used to destroy enemies by undermining their will to fight. Today on NPR on the Diane Rehm show she again spoke with individuals that had a front row seat to the use of the novel Doctor Zhivago and how it was used to destroy the religion of the USSR, Communism.

Even if you are not a regular listener of NPR you should give a listen to this insightful story and how the Cold War was waged via agitprop.

I have heard they are digitally remastering the film "Dr. Zhivago" for a blue ray re-release....
