    Yes!!!!

I just put the dates on our website calendar last night. Every Monday night in Jan-Feb. Standard 10 meter targets. For those who want them, we offer a bigger target for those still working on their skills.
Also offer 10m adult pistol, open sight and optics are all one class.
Youth have their own classes. RCC has rifles to loan to attendees and youth.

Fees are nominal, a buck per target.

Season winners get gift cards to Menards, kids get DQ.

Doors open at 6pm, shooting from 6:30-8:30.

A bit of info on how this match runs. Perhaps other clubs, church groups, etc. will consider this and make something similar available to their members. Our first week is always slim, this year we lost some high school shooters who graduated and are busy elsewhere. But we still had 8 adults and 3 youth that combined for 48 entries in less than 2 hours. Not much chance of injury, 10 meter shooting often fits within a pole barn, warehouse, church basement, etc.

We run this in the winter in the RCC clubhouse since the outdoor events dominate warm weather activities, but it can easily fit in a club parking lot on a warm evening in the summer. A club in Texas ran Wednesday night matches on their clubhouse porch all year long. RCC bought 2 Daisy 853 rifles from CMP for this, and the 4H club allows folks to shoot their CMP guns as well. Pellets are cheap, we provide everything for the new shooter to get their feet wet.

We base this activity around the standard 10 meter air rifle target. The target has a couple sighter bulls in the center, and 10 target bulls that receive one shot each. You get 10 minutes to fire sighters (at your option) and your 10 shots for score. We provide the target and charge a buck to shoot it, we'll run 10 relays (at 10 minutes or less) each night from 6:30-8:30pm. Due to demand, we added an A-7/5 target for lesser skilled adults and the youth, and a 10 meter air pistol target. This allows us to fill all the demographics.

Our match is set up based on your 8 best targets during the 8 week league. So once you get 8 targets on the scoreboard, shooters continue and try to shoot better scores to replace poor scores from early in the season. It is amazing how close the competition can be at the end of 8 weeks. A shooter can have one good target out of 5, but if you shoot every week you end up with 8 great scores that count toward your total. The challenge is to compete with yourself.

This is also a largely social atmosphere. Shooters often shoot every other relay to allow everyone to participate and to chat a bit between relays. Some will shoot a mix of rifle and pistol. No earplugs, coaching is allowed, parents will often pump the rifle for their youth shooter. We usually have some homemade cookies, pop is available from the fridge for 50 cents.

Profit? It varies each year, but we ran this in Jan-Feb 2022 and netted $356 for the season. Not bad for 8 evenings in the off season. Oh yeah, season winners get gift cards instead of trophies. Adults get something from Menards, kids get gift cards to Dairy Queen.

Sorry about the length of post, hopefully it will generate interest about what is capable at other clubs or organizations.
