A word about speed in guitar playing. Sometimes it isn't how fast you play, it is how you convey your feelings through your guitar.

Oh so true! Another guy that comes to my mind is one of my heros, BB King. Ten Years After also comes to mind.

Now, a question for you. I'm thinking of an old album I had in the late 70s, it had a black cover and a strand of glowing barbed wire running across. Name the album

ETA: This is my post number 442, also a car I always wanted, but never got around to buying.

The Ted has so many great songs, my favorite of his is probably "Wango Tango."

I play a guitar myself in a local band called "JUNK." We play bar gigs around Bedford, Bloomington area alot.

Man- you guys are bringing back memories.
Alvin Lee is definitely one on my guitar heroes.
Saw him at the Woodstock reunion (at the real Yasgur Farm) then in Vegas at
    Mandalay Bay's House of Blues.

"I Can't keep from Cryin' Sometimes" is the set I have always waited for.
Leo should be horsewhipped to use the name nowadays without the "Fastest Fretboard in the World"

    Just my Two cents.

I guess it's the same for young folks now as it was for us back then-
The old Rock was a way for us to kinda rebel against everything.
I guess they feel that Rap and Hip-Hop is their way but I wouldn't call it music.
Wish they could have lived through those times- I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I saw Ted for the first time in Indy in I'm pretty sure it was 1975. I was on the front line and Holy Crap the Bed Batman!" I was hooked. I had all his albums, including the Amboy Dukes stuff. I wish I knew what happened to them now.
I go to Ted's show at the rib fest every year. I also saw Ted at the Vogue couple years back. Brought back memories then!

Fred Bear....hands down the best Nuge song ever. I have it on CD and listen to it while heading to the woods during deer season.
