Who carrys the big guns still?

I've heard over and over about the compact models and the smaller guns but who still carries the big boys?

I'm either carrying 1 (or twins ) Beretta 96 in a shoulder holster or the old faithful Colt 1911.

Its not broke so don't fix it.

When I’m not carrying in the new enigma I carry a 34 with light and optic.

Every few weeks or just for certain occasions I'll break out the full sized .45 1911 Dan Wesson in an OWB Milt Sparks, especially this time of year.

ETA: my gen 4 Glock 22 is inside an MCK so I rarely carry it on the hip but when I do I have a Kramer OWB scabbard for it.

Generally carry a 1911, a Browning HP, or a CZ 75 unlesss at work where CC is needed.

Either a 1911 or cz75 everyday, never felt like it was too much for me to work around, and am much more confident making accurate shots with them than other pistols I’ve tried

Ironically, the SP01 gets carried all the time, but the Compact pretty much stays in the safe.

Usually I carry a compact but will occasionally carry the Sig 226. Carried 226 today with New Years Eve, especially following the Nashville incident. Carried the 226 during the beginning of the lockdowns and throughout the BLM protest.

Not really practical to conceal a full size in my office environment regularly but I adjust when potential for Orange/Red zones as I anticipate.

My G17 with Agency comp is as long or a tad short of a 17L which is 6.02" . I also have a +6 mag extension in it. I also have a 33rd extra mag in a spare mag pouch.
