I did a little safe cleaning/organizing earlier in the week.

I've decided to sell my only 45. My Sig Sauer Ultra Compact 1911 and the 650 + rounds of 45 auto need a new home.

What is the going rate on the 45 ammo?

I have 550 + rounds of Federal 230 grain FMJ RN & 100 rounds of Winchester 230 grain FMJ target ammo.

Is it better to sell the ammo with the gun or to sell them separately?

Would I get more bang for my buck doing some sort of trade?

I considered putting everything together as a package deal as a potential trade plus cash towards someone's gently used but no longer needed older truck.

I'm just trying to figure out my price point.

I don't want to take advantage of anyone but I don't want to get taken advantage of either. Besides Gungirl needs a cute little inexpensive truck.

So should I sell it all together, separate, or as a trade?

    What's it all worth?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. I've never sold one of my guns before.

I spent a few minutes looking for your Sig online and it seems to be difficult to find a value on it, so I recommend that you start with what you gave for it and go up from there. Yes, up.

Bundle the ammo with the firearm, value it at somewhere between what you gave for it and current market. That way you're not pinched and everybody goes away feeling good about the deal.

    Good luck!

Maybe I should go to the Kokomo gun show this weekend with a sign on my back offering to sell it for $50 a box just for shits and giggles.
    $1100

    Gun, mags, holsters - $775
    650rds 45acp - $325

(and good luck finding an "inexpensive truck")
This sounds like I ought to just take it to the Kokomo gun show and see how sweet of a Colt Agent or Detective I can maybe trade for.

Hell I paid more than $775 when I bought the gun. I'm not giving it away.

I almost have warm and fuzzies on the $325 for the ammo though. :-)

The gun really doesn't take up much room in the safe but all of the ammunition does.

Sorry I was thinking along the lines of what someone on INGO might pay. You could definitely get more at a gun show.

(This is why I hate "What is my gun worth?" threads lol I dunno why don't you tell us)
