Finally came across a rifle I'd been looking for the last 24 months. Ruger American in 7.62x39.

Nothing I'm going to shoot more than 200 yards with, and it's really not even the best choice of rifles I own for hunting.

But it's got threads, and it takes the mini 30 mags, and it's in a caliber that is still one of the cheapest centerfire rifle cartridges to shoot. I debated buying 6.5 grendel, but the cartridge is so much more expensive.
