    ....ready, GO!

Henry Big Boy in 38sp \ 357 Mag. Been wanting one of these for a while...now that I'm loading 357 mag for my 686 I kinda wanted a rifle to compliment in a mutually loadable caliber. Also, picked up a pound of CFE Pistol, a couple of ruger mags, a hat from lovemywoods and Fenway at the INGO booth (was great meeting you guys, by the way! My INGO sticker is proudly stuck to my reloading bench now...), and some 357 XTP's. Of course, I picked up 1\4 lb of vanilla fudge for the road...

Coincidentally, since my dad and I got into town a little early, we swung by the new shop in Carmel. Very nice range and friendly staff. Scored a couple bricks of Remington Thunderbolt while I was there. They still have 1\2 a pallet if interested. $29.00 a brick. Not a huge fan, but my 22\45 will eat anything I feed her so I'm good.

Co-coincedentally, since my dad and I got into town a little early, we randomly found an italian spot named Crust. Try the pizza, people. Trust me.

    Your turn!

Vortex Crossfire and rings for my 10/22 from Alan at A&A. Some .380 ammo. A free INGO sticker.

My dad got a 20 ga Ithaca, some Mini-14 and Mini-30 mags, some 5.56 ammo. Some candy from Johnson Safe.

A smaller show, but I prefer the air conditioning and smaller crowd.

Mostly powder and primers, and SKS stripper clips and manual for a buddy.

I'll second the new shop in Carmel. Very friendly folks and a nice range. I have picked up 3000 rounds of the Thunderbolt in the last few weeks for myself and a friend. A lot of people seem to have issues with it, but I have never had any problems, and my Savage Mark II likes it.

What model Ithaca? 57? And which scope did you get? I picked up a 2-7 for my 10/22 from Alan at the last 1500.

Sadly, the one thing I went to see this afternoon had already left without me. Was looking to see how a Walther PK380 would fit in my big paw...apparently several other people had similar ideas Friday or earlier today.

On the bright side, that means I don't have to live in the doghouse until She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed got over being disobeyed.

A model 66. He collects them. And a 2-7, same as you. Picked up one of the 50th anniversary contest winner Appleseed rifles a while back. Going to give it the full Kidd package and mount the Crossfire hoping to do an Appleseed later this year.

Nothing too exciting. A couple of boxes of .38 S&W for an okay price. A new carbine buffer and spring. And this little piece of fun:

    Silver_Bullets_Stake.jpg

Not sure why Coonan decided to make the "Zombie" branding, since it's a wooden stake filled with silver bullets, but whatever. I thought it was an entertaining gimmick and it will be displayed on my shelf with my Zombie Max ammo.

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with the 1500. Nothing really too interesting and still a lot of bad prices (some joker had was trying to sell a KSG for $1300 and a Glock 43 for $600+). Despite half a dozen tables selling AR parts and uppers, not a single one had Wolff buffer springs or really much in the way of higher quality components.

got myself a cheap OTF knife to beat up at work, a 30rd 40cal glock mag, an 18rd 92FS mag, an A2 flash hider, some "batarangs" - and of course, a turtle :D

wasnt too impressed with the selection, was VERY unimpressed with a few vendors - especially the larger ones. not just the mediocre selection, but the poor attitudes.

eh, maybe itll be better next time...............maybe.

You may belong to a gun nut family if you do your family birthday shopping at a gun show.
